Fun Taipei Teacafe @ SS2

This is a new cafe being open about 1-2 month ago. I did spotted this cafe where they have a branch in Pudu too. But somehow, i have choose to go to the new branch at SS2...haha...Actually is due to we are passing by SS2 that time. So, it is just coincidence oh...

So, as we get in...maybe is a new cafe le. All the staff there is very friendly...Everytime when there is someone coming in / out.. they would welcome you and say thank you for visiting. We sit around the back as that time, the cafe is quite packed. Then we are given the menu to make our order.

Hey, one thing to know..there is actually a cupboard of comic books for customers to read it. If you are a 1st timer into this cafe and sit in front of the cafe, you may not found this comic as it is located just behind the drink counter bar. And one thing, all comics is in chinese....haiirs..not a good news to me as im english educated. My bf so enjoy reading it and all i stared at him. He somemore laughed at me ....So no choice, i took his O2 handphone and play the games...There is WIFI connection in the cafe, so dont think you all will be bored when there...

So for our orders is like below:

There are many choices of beverage you can choose from hot to cold. For all the fruit juice, you can add Pearl (add in RM1) or QQ Jelly(add in RM0.50) into the drink you ordered. It is something like the bubble tea you saw outside.

Passion Fruit(left) ; Eden Fruit Milk (right)

So, i have Passion Fruit Juice with added QQ Jelly( RM3.50 + RM0.50). Nice and refreshing passion fruit drink. Too bad, im not so like the QQ jelly. The taste make the drink little weird...Maybe it would be nicer with added Pearl....My comment only...maybe some will think is nice....lol...

My bf ordered the Eden Fruit Milk with added Pearl (RM3.50 + RM0.10). This is actually my second choice of drink. He is the one who ask me choose. So since the name so special and we just opt for it. Based on the waiter, it is actually a mix of honey dew and apple juice with milk. Erm, the drink is actually more to honey dew. The honey dew almost cover all the taste of the apple...Is roughly the same as the honey dew bubble tea...

For our meal, he has chosen the 3 Cup Sauce Chicken set(RM14.50) which consists of a pot of 3 cup sauce chicken; a mini plate of vegetable; potatoes; a bowl of soup and rice....Look like a full course and healthy meal. There are many other set you can choose from their menu.

As for me, i have chosen Noodle with Oyster (RM6.50). The noodle is served in a special pot. Erm, the taste is still ok. Erm, the portion is quite small and i dont think a guy would enough having this. For the oyster, quite weird. Dont know how to describe it. The oyster is like wrap with lots of flour where when you eat it, it dont really feel it is like an oyster, and i felt is like a thick glue wrapped the oyster...

Anyhow, is a nice place for friend gathering. And whats more? You can read comic for free....in an air-con environment equipped with WIFI....

Herbal Jelly @ Koong Woh Tong

Erm, lately im not feeling well. Maybe is due to the heat in my body. So, my bf and i has stopped at Koong Woh Tong to have their nice herbal jelly. As we know they are famous for their herbal jelly and also herbal tea.

Roughly mostly all the interior in each branch of the Koong Woh Tong is the same. Got a big golden pot in front of it with some very ancient chinese painting and chinese writing. Mostly in golden and red....2 of the colour which Chinese people very love it.

Guess what, Tropicana Mall has a Koong Woh Tong outlet. Somewhere nearby the Carrefour. We also never expect there will be an outlet there as the place is still new but somehow, the mall is getting more and more new and interesting outlet. So whats more? A new place to venture and for those movie fans, there is a GSC cinema there.

Let's continue with Koong Woh Tong and have a taste of their " Kuo Lin Ko" aka Herbal Jelly. Nice and smooth..being put on ceramic pot. You may opt for a cold or hot herbal jelly. For me, sure i want the cold one. Suit for me. The herbal jelly is served with a pot of sweetener( sugar syrup). You may add as you like to suit your preferences.

Besides that, we have ordered a cup of " Ng Fa Cha"....my translation is Five Flower Tea. Nice to drink especially when im sore throat. hehe...The taste is like sweet but at the same time got little bitter....

Anyway, just try to go to any branch of the Koong Woh Tong to try some of their nice herbal jelly / tea..especially for those who are staying far from family and no time or dont know how to boil any herbal tea by their own. Love yourself and at the same time maintaining a good health in life...

A banner stated " 1st & Original Wafito"

Erm...wonder have you heard of Daily Fresh?? Actually this is the 1st time me and my bf saw and it is located at Tropicana Mall. They are actually offering few types of snacks like wafito , sweet corn and fruity shaved ice...

There are actually few types of wafito with different topping etc. What is Wafito?? Is actually waffle whereby the batter cake is cooked in a special waffle iron patterned "oven"...As for me, i have did tried the waffle from the outside which usually i will put peanut butter or chocolate. This time, i saw there is a new stuff which is the Chicken Floss Wafito (RM3.20). haha...and i have ordered it...

I have take a few photos of h0w the process of making the waffle..1st the will take the ready plain batter...then put a scoop of the chicken floss and mix it... Then the will pour the mixed batter on the waffle iron "oven" and wait it to be cooked. I think about 5min.

Then a nicely cooked waffle is ready to put some topping. I saw the put some chicken floss on top of the round waffle.

Slowly squeese the mayoniese and lastly wrap it side by side...and my wafito is ready to eat....Erm, it quite tasteless but the waffle is nice since is freshly made and it still h0t when i ate it.....I think waffle is better with peanut butter or something sweet such as fruit jam...lol...

One of the wafito topped peanut butter and sliced chocolate...looks yummy too...

Beside that we have ordered their Cool Ice Kimo (RM3.30)...aka " fruity shaved ice".....We have choose Sour Sop flavour...a nicely sour sop flavour ice shaved on the cup...with the soup sop topping...just nice and refresing for a hot weather...

Flavours: Chocolate, Vanila, Honey Dew, Mango, Strawberry, Sour Sop, Pineapple & Mocha....

Premiere Screening - Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen

Premiere Ticket - so nice...just like a greeting card...

Front View- The BumbleBee

Back view of the ticket

Inside - the details...my seat no is G21

Rules & Regulations before enter the hall: no recording....

As my bf is a member for Spotlite Magazine, we have given a chance to watch the premiere screening for the most anticipated movie which is the Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. The premiere will be shown at Cineleisure Damansara on 22June2009, time :930pm. We were so lucky that we have the tickets.

Once after work, we quickly rush back home for a shower and go to Cineleisure to meet a person called Anson to collect our ticket at the McDonald. That time, is quite jam but we still reach there around 8pm and finally we met Anson to claim our tickets. The seat we get is roughly around the middle of the corner of the cinema hall. Still ok. Better than nothing. Since is free too...Cant expect much. I can see the hall is full house till the 1st row of the hall also being seated. But they are more poor than us..Guess what, their eyes will be really tired & blur as the screen is way too near them. But no worry, is truly a worth to watch movie. So hope they wont mind sitting there for roughly about 2 1/2 hours.

The movie is quite long. And before we enter the hall, we need to put any of our hp / laptop to register at a corner as they worry we might use our hp/ laptop to record the movie. Me and my bf is smart. We left our hp at home(yah ..yah...that y i was unable to take any photos to post, lol)... Right after we showed our ticket at the counter and way to the hall, we have to Q-up to scan our body and belonging with an electronic device scanner to really make sure we dont bring our hp / any electronic for recording purposes. And finally we are into the hall...and begin the movie. Guess what the movie ended till 1220am and we are so tired and just wish to get in bed as the next day , we still need to work.

Right after the movie, we are glad that we dont bring hp as most of the people has to walked back to the counter to claim back their hp. Can you imagine, hundreds of people queeing up to get back their hp after the movie. That might waste some of the time.

For your info, Transformers will in cinema on 24June2009 in Malaysia. Hope you all will watch it. In this episode, there will be a lot of robots being shown out and quite interesting when they transforms..and it really fast that your eyes hardly can see it.

There are some funny scenes whereby you should not missed it. Like the twins Skids and Mudflap. In the starting of the movie, both of it is actually merged as an ice cream van but in the middle both has transform into Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Trax.. And not to forget the Wheelie, a decepticon which captured by Mikaela. And look out for the Agent Simmons ...They are so funny......

My bf told me, he wish to watch for the 2nd time..haha....

Restaurant 9888

This was my 2nd time in this restaurant and to be honest, both time, this restaurant is full house. Especially after 730pm. Sometimes i felt curious how such a hidden restaurant can be that packed. Yeah, you really never know there is a restaurant inside there if you never passed by. How i found it? Thanks to my bro again. He is a sales person and he very familiar with many kind of hidden road. And this time, i have recomemded my friends to have a dinner here together to celebrate friend's birthday.

Few days before i have make a reservation table for 11 persons. Once we reached, we quickly make our orders. But tell you, after making the order, we really waited for about 1 hours for the dish to served on the table one by one. haha..So, please be prepare to have some snack / some magazine to there before you wan to dine in there...especially weekends...

Lets check out our orders:

Stir Fry "Kai Lan" - "kai lan" being stir fry with garlic and the dish is simple that all of us like it. Eat more vegetable is good for health.

Stir Fry Asparagus with mushroom - erm, im not sure what the mushroom called. But it is quite a nice combination to be cook together. Simple and healthy.

Sweet & Sour Pork - i forget the name of the dish, but to me, it really look like sweet and sour pork . Erm, nothing much special for this but the pork look little bit fat...haha...

Soft Shell Crab with Salted Egg - This is nice to eat. Quite crispy as it is hot when it served to our table. But, this is the dish which is most expensive of all others....lol...

"Kam Heung" La La - it is quite ok but looks like a little hot for some of us to have it. The sauce is still acceptable. Long time, we did not have this dish before.

Steamed Fish - Im not good in eating fish especially the steamed. But i know steamed fish is good to be eaten while it is still hot just like this one. It look simple with chopped ginger/ onion think gravy...

Fried Pumpkin with Salted Egg - actually i quite love to eat salted egg. The pumpkin is really sweet and soft and nice. Nice dish. But possible, the dish will be nicer if the flour for frying pumpkin is lesser...and use more salted egg...haha...

p/s: map drawn by myself. From the PGRM, go straight which pass the Petronas & a row of shoplots till u reach a junction to make a left turn. Just drive all the way inside till you found the restaurant which got air-con and nearby the end of the road. Erm, one more thing, the place is also not easy to get a parking space too...

Restoran Makanan Laut WSW

Last Friday, i have decided to treat my family a meal in order to celebrate Father's Day. I have asked my bro to suggest where to eat since he love and know where to find food. The day is quite late and we just simply trying to find it nearby Cheras. The restaurant we used to ate (Restaurant Shen Jing Sheng) is quite packed by the time we reached there , so without any choice, we have finally to have our dinner just beside the corner of Restaurant Shen Jing Sheng. Erm, at 1st when we reached the Restaurant WSW, there are not much table is being taken.

As we seated, my bro begin to make his order while i just simply take some photos. Roughly most of our order is based on all the dishes where you can see from the photos nearby the restaurant wall... I think those are their speciality foods which offered by the restaurant.

So let's see, below the orders:

Seafood Taufu - it is like the japanese taufu being mashed and cooked with thick eggs gravy and some seafood such as sliced of sea cucumbers(if not mistaken, lol), crab stick, crab meats and mushroom etc. And you may consume it with some dark vineger. Just like the way you are eating the shark fins. Erm, this dish is good to eat while it is still hot. Once it has been cold down, it will become too watery...

Black Stout Pork - It just like a pork cooked in normal dark sauce. Quite little different from what i ate outside. And once again, the gravy too watery... Not what we expected.

Salted Egg Fried French Bean Shoot - This is way different from the photos when we make order. In the photo, the dish look more dry. Just like frying the bean. But when the dish is served, it is like normal egg stir fry with the bean. lol...too less salted egg...no comment.

Hawaii Nut Fried Lotus Roots - It is celery stir fry with lotus roots and carrots. On top will be sprinkled of thin slice of fried cuttlefish...Nice to eat but the portion is quite small for us. Why it is called the hawaii nut, then im not sure....i dont see to get to eat any nuts inside...might be my bro finish all..haha..

"Kong Po" Mantis - "kong po" is actually a kind of cooking style whereby a dish cooked with some dark sauce added with some dry chilies for some spicyness..For this dish, it is truly disappointing. To be honest, we are hardly get to taste the mantis as they using to fried the mantis is jus too thick. We suspect whether is there any mantis meat inside.

Overrall, all the food is just average. The bill came out RM 79( 4 rice & a pot of tea). But i think my family wont be going there for 2nd time.. haha...

Simply Fusion @ Jaya One

Last Sun, my bf and I have a simple lunch with one of his ex-colleague. Since both of them also staying in PJ, so we decide to have our meal at Simply Fusion @ Jaya One. Erm, how i get to know this place? Is actually from internet whereby there are having a promotion every week. Each week will have 1 meal being on RM10++ promo. And guess what, it is applicable on weekend too..You all should have tried it.

Last week, they are having promo for the Grilled Thai Chicken + a glass of Peach Tea. So we had order the set. As you can see, the meal is served with rice, salad and the 2 pieces of boneless chicken....The taste is sliglty bland. But overrall is nice to eat and quite full.

For my bf's colleague, she had ordered a Grilled Nyonya Fish Fillet. It is also served with salad and also butter rice. The fish with the gravy is still ok...not too spicy. Picture is not shown but you may check out their website for the menu.

Then we have ordered a Cheese French Toast. The toast is actually quite tasty and my bf love it so much..Because he had request for added cheese...Really dont scare of fat....haha..The toast is look little bit "tan" but the taste is still nice. Good to be eaten while it is still hot. The toast is served with butter and a coconut syrup...love the taste.

What else, we have order a very special beverage which i saw in the menu. It is Rainbow Rock. As you can see, the glass is so colorful. Inside there is red beans, jelly, sweet corn, cendol etc..It is something like ABC cendol...Nice to drink and good for the hot weather now....

With 3 of us, the meal is cost less than RM50 and the bill is paid by his colleague.. Thanks for the meal...

Xiao Fei Yang Restaurant

Once you heard of this name, you would really know it is something like those china-man restaurant. Inside the decor is quite simple with those chinese antics....but one thing is the air-con. Indeed quite old. When you 1st came in, i think it is still fine but after a while after you have taken ur meal 1/2 way, then you will noticed the place is started to get warm.

To be honest, this steamboat restaurant is not easy to find if you really not so sure the wherebout. Lucky all of us know it as our school is just opposite of the main road. haha...For the parking place, i think if you came in early, you may get a nice place in front of the restaurant. If not, maybe you would not mind to pay money for the parking. But as for me, i parked slightly far but i think still easy to reach there. Not a problem...

Few days ago, i have actually booked a table just in case i worry, there are many customers will be dining there. So when we reached, we have the place is quite quiet due to it is still early. One thing, we are coming in a group of 11persons but we noticed that their table is actually suit for 8-9persons which actually quite small for a big group like us. But no choice, thats all we can have.

After a while, the waitress begins to serve some snacks/ appetisers before we start our "boating"....Actually im not really like the appetisers they are serving as it is tasteless. They have served us with fried peanuts and a plate of mixed vegetable taufu...The taufu is really not nice. None of us like it.

The sauce is actually quite nice. We like the one in dark color. I think is something like fried garlic. For the white , we think is "fu yu"(fermented beancurd, am i rite?) and the red 1 for sure is blended chilies.

Let see, for the menu, they actually printing it like a list for us to tick and pass to them to prepare it. One thing, better make sure you can speak slightly mandarin...As i found out most of them is speak mandarin. But the menu, there have mandarin and english translated. haha...

And for our orders is like this:

Each table can have a pot of soup where you can choice to have 1 soup base or to have combination of 2 soup base. For us, we sure looking for combination(RM22). So, the soup they have is either a herbal soup or the "ma lak" soup base. From the pic you can really see, they indeed putting lots of ingrediant into the soup to make the soup so tasty. There are garlic, gingers, dry chilies and lots more unknown to me.

We have order few plates of meat sliced such like chicken, mutton and pork.....just take a piece of it and dip into the boiling soup a while and taste it with the sauce.

For your info, the steamboat is not actually a buffet style neither they do offer any set. Usually all the foods will be served in a plate with the price are ranging from RM4 and above. So, we also order few plate of taufu, fishball, meatball, fish noodle, prawn, fish meat, golden mushroom, vegetable....etc...as what we usually will have during steamboat session.

After the dinner is done, we are served with few plate of fruits(watermelon & oranges) which we are quite full that time. We indeed have a nice meal and the staff there is actually quite friendly and nice (even sometimes they are not so understand what we wants).....

This is our bills (in mandarin)....the bill end up with total RM270.60 for 11person.

Revisit : Old Town White Coffee

Im sure everyone would have heard of Old Town White Coffee around your housing area of anywhere. I have been visiting few of their outlets in KL & PJ. And im actually quite enjoying my meal there.

Last Saturday, my bf and I was trying to get on time for his hair cut. We have went to the Old Town at Jusco Balakong. But due to we are still early, we decided to have our breakfast there. Ohh...to our suprise, it just around 1030am but yet the place is quite full already.

So we tried to find a place to sit and we quickly order our meal. I have order their Nasi Lemak Special which is nasi lemak with fried chicken. Actually i very love their nasi lemak there. Is quite tasty. Erm, do you noticed my fried chicken is little bit too small than ordinary?? haha...

My bf had order the Chicken Curry with Sticky Rice. He has the rice very tasty and the curry too. I have scoop few curry gravy to eat together with my nasi lemak....yummy....Both of us share the meals together.

Erm, beside the nasi lemak, their coffee is also very nice. Each of us has ordered a glass of ice coffee since the weather is quite hot. He had the Coffee "gao"..means extra rich taste...while for me is the White Coffee....both also nice and we love it too...

Just check out and have their meal is any outlets which nearby your area..Im sure is actually very easy to find one. You may check out my previous blogs about Old Town for more foods...
