Birdy Flower

Ever saw a plant which "grow" bird?? hehe...

Check below photos taken in front of my house...is it look like birdy on top of the flower plant le?? hehe...nice??

Actually this plant has been quite popular for some time. Now, my parent very proud that they able to plant some of it in front of our house. If not mistaken, last time i heard the plant itself is call Bird Plant....due to it able to grow flower which resemble little birds...From the photos, you could saw the flower in reddish leaves which middle stand a little "bird"..

What a wonderful plant....I do have a smaller plant of bird flower ..the "bird" is in pink color...with a smaller size of this above "bird"...I got it from my bf's mother....but maybe im not so good in taking care of it..now the plant do not bear any leaves or "birds"..haha...i think i need to back to my bf's hometown to pluck some to plant it again...

Happy Planting ...Go green to save the world....

2nd Revisit : De Pastry Chef

Ever wonder what I will have for a morning breakfast? Im quite a simple. As long the thing is what I like, I will eat it happily...even just a small cake will also satisfy me...

I have made my 2nd visit to De Pastry Chef and the same thing, I ordered their cake only...This time I had a slice of Choco Truffle (RM7)...the taste is slightly not within my expectation..haha...maybe Im not sure how a choco truffle will taste like.....some will think with that slice of so big "choc" in your tummy, you sure full till dinner...but not me...haha.......there are some berries below the cake....which lift up the sweetness of the bitter choc in the cake..haha..

As for the drink, i just share a glass of 2 Way (RM4.50) with my bf. Although it just a small glass but it is quite nutritious too...Is a combination of bitter gourd juice with soya beans....Erm....for those who dislike bitter gourd...then better dont select this..For me, Im neutral on it...But it is like not match well with my cake..hehe...the bitterness is slightly cover by the richness of soya beans....which cause the drink never feel so bitter.

Lastly, my bf had a Nasi Lemak (RM6.50) whereby the portion given is quite generous in the the sambal and rice given...It dont see to be that spicy...

So, the foods come quite fast and i saw their business is quite good too...Many customers coming to ordered their cake and asking for catering service for certain events...

For my previous post of De Pastry Chef, pls check it here....

Restoran Sayuran Yuet Sum Hin

Im not a vegetarian...but I enjoy having it together with Grace and others...no need specify also know who you all...I just have 1 geng of "green lovers"...haha...yes yes...is you la...have to especially mentioned this bro, Wang...thank you for contributing a lot in every of our meals..haha..

So, this time we are headed to a vegetarian restaurant nearby Times Square. We parked our car in Times Square and walk to there..roughly takes about 5-10min to reach...Quite near actually...But the area is little dark...so make sure you are not alone when you walk there..The restaurant is clean and bright...quite a different feel too...Their service is quite ok and foods are served quite fast...

Check out our dinner for 6 persons...

Appetisers - Peanut (RM1.20) : guess you can see this served by many other restaurants...

Taufu (RM10-Small) : taufu being fried and then stir fry with soy sauce with some green beans, mushroom and sliced carrots for nicer presentation...

Fried Abalone Mushroom (RM20-Medium) : deep fried abalone mushroom till crispy and then spread with sweet sauce with sliced button mushroom, tomatoes, pineapple etc...

Yam Basket (RM20-Medium): the yam being deep fry and pour with cooked mixed vegetables in the middle...this dish finish fast...because each of us just have a small piece of it..hehe...

Asam Fish (RM20-Medium) : it is one of their signature dish there..To be honest, the asam gravy is quite nice..i have it like drinking soup..since they give quite a lot of gravy too...haha.....the sourness is just good and not spicy too..very flavouring when having together with rice....

Fried Vege Goose (Small- RM10) : the vege goose is nicely fried and no burned at all...just the acceptable golden brownish...but take note, this dish will be slightly oily....but i quite like to eat too..haha...good to be eaten while still hot...

If you asked me will I go there again...I would say it would be a worth place to visit again especially if you are looking for a nice place for vegetarian ...might be I would bring my uncle from Australia to try it . He will be coming back to visit in Malaysia end of this year and guess what, he is a vegetarian...

GeorgeTown White Coffee

Welcome to GeorgeTown...haha....sorry Im not at GeorgeTown, Penang....but at GeorgeTown White Coffee...very similar to the Old Town white coffee but this is Penang style...haha..

A short blog to prove to some of my friends that this cafe did exist...When i mentioned to them, they keep laughing and ask me "Sure boh??""...Few photos to prove it...lol...Last week, after a seafood dinner, my friends asking me for a place to have a drink and chit chat...so I suggested this place...yes, I would know there is not much different about this....but I just curious to go there only...

Food & Beverages Counter

A giant information board about GeorgeTown

That time, we just order drinks only because we still full with the our dinner...

Hot Honey Lemon

Lychee Ice

There is a bell in each table for better service...

My conclusion, in term of the food and beverages served, there have some differences...such as GeorgeTown White Coffee have Nutmeg drink, teochew style of cendol.,Penang Kiew Tiew etc..if not mistaken..I like saw it in menu before...haha... ..There have an outlet at Jaya33...Mostly they are serving popular dishes which available in Penang...lol...If you like Penang food, maybe you should go there to check it out...

La La Chong Seafood Restaurant

La La Chong Seafood Restaurant used to be located at Old Subang Airport. But after that, they have moved to a new location at Kayu Ara Damansara. Fyi, the place is open with a quite spacious parking lot. But I prefer to have a table inside the air-con room...more comfortable...

Anyhow, I guess, if you asking me to go for 2nd time, I can tell you, I cant remember how to go there too...It looks like so difficult to find but I can say it is near the Pantai Seafood Restaurant. hehe..used to it le...my friends always say I know how to eat only....yup, I have to admit it... lol...

Let's check out what we have for our dinner for 8 persons...

Titbits (RM3) - Preserved Mango ....made by themselves...i think...little spicy with the sweet and sour mango...

Prawn (RM50) - consider a medium size prawn being deep fried and stir fry with chilies and curry leaf(cut into small piece), it is something hot n spicy...and little salty....

Seafood Taufu Soup (RM25) - it is something like shark fin soup but it has been replace with mashed white taufu and crab meats ....the gravy is quite thick and is given vineger to eat together...I prefer without vineger and it is best eaten while still hot...

Stir Fry Paku Pakis with chilies (RM15) - To be honest, this vegetable is growing a lot at the back of my bf's hometown....and his mum love to cook this...For this, taste is still ok but the paku pakis like little hard to chew...maybe as what people say, the vegetable is "too old"...haha...

La La (RM20) - Get to know one of their famous dish is "Sheung Tong" La La aka La La soup...The soup is not bad and is sweet due to the La La, i guess....but one thing I dislike it, some of those La La did not clean well so will have those something like stone inside...

Steamed Eggs (RM10) - i eaten some small pieces of century eggs inside which steamed together ....the eggs is smooth and soft...which spread with soy sauce and some spring onion to add more flavour to it...

Sweet & Sour Crabs (RM68) - the price will look slightly expensive but i think it worth the price...The crab meat is fresh and quite big also..The gravy is slightly thick which is good to dip with the mantou (bun)

Steamed bun (RM6 for 4 pcs) - we chooses steamed bun because it is more healthy and less oily....

"Kat Lei" Fish (RM110) - the fish meat is very sweet means the fish is so fresh...but one not so good thing is the bone...there are many fish bone...so we have to be extra careful when eating it...

So, what you think of our dinner?? Anyway, we finish all the dishes which served on our table...haha..their service is ok too...Foods served to us quite fast...Maybe that time not much customers arrived...
Anyway, just try it yourself!!

De Pastry Chef

Fyi, I really love sweet desserts such as cakes, puddings, ice cream, and many more...And due to this, I always ask my bf to bring me to such place to try. And due to this, he always blame me for making him gain a lot of weight too...haha...anyhow, my bf spotted this cafe one day ....and he know I should love this...Yeah!!

The place was decorated with a lot of ornaments like fake strawberry plant crawling on top of the ceiling nearby the counter ...hehe...looks so sweet ...There are a lots of cakes / bread being display near there...When you saw the cakes from the glass fridge....you feel so happy and so hungry at the same time...Im so undecided what to eat....haha...

Cakes are available in slice or as a whole....The price is acceptable...consider quite cheap too...with lots of flavour to choose...They do have some nice cupcakes too...
German Cheese Cake (RM6.50) - cake that i choose...a layer of cake with a layer of cheese which simply decorated with a small strawberry and covered with a thin layer of something sweet...(dono how to say that word)..it is sweet and transparent...

Lavendar Tea (RM10 for 2 person) - such an early day and i was thinking to have some hot tea so we decided for a Lavendar tea for a relaxed mind....hehe...we are given few butter biscuit too...

Tomyam Bihun (RM5.50) - feel too oily oily but taste wise still ok....

Pumpkin Bun (RM4+) - bought this bun back home to try...the bun is with pumpkin filling with lots of sesame and melon seed on top of the bun...quite nice and healthy...

Fyi, they do offer catering service for birthday / wedding party too...

I guess, I will visit more on this cafe due to I wish to try out all the flavour of the cake they available .....haha...Guess, my diet plan is always failed le....!!

Village Park Restaurant

I guess many of you all who is staying in PJ would be well known with this Village Park Restaurant. What's actually attracts the customer is their nasi lemak.. There are sometimes when I passed by there to have a breakfast, it is always disappointed me as I always cant find a place to sit due to there are a lot of customers and ended , I went to have dim sum nearby...haha..

Anyhow, I finally managed to try it due to I was off last week and purposely ask my bf to bring me to have breakfast there early in the morning...and it was weekday...but yet you still saw quite a number of customers there...

Quite blur when walked into it and the waiter passed us a menu. Service is quite fast...We not sure what to have and we just order for a plain nasi lemak with fried chicken since I saw many customer is ordering the same...

A kind of "order form"(with price) give to us when serving the nasi lemak to our table. Fyi, the price of each nasi lemak is depending on what kind of dish (vegetables, ayam rendang, prawn, squid etc) you will be added...

Nasi Lemak + Ayam Goreng (RM7) - You may see the rice slightly oily but fragrant. The taste is quite nice and combine with the sambal. Just the right spicy to me but not my bf..he prefer more spicy...lol...The fried chicken is still ok but tasted little bland for me (I prefer more spicy and salty, lol) ...haha..

our drink - Hot Lime(RM1.90) & Iced White Coffee (RM2.50)

Added 2 slice of Roti Bakar (RM2) - the bread is very crispy and thin slice too...

Maybe soon I will asked my bf to bring me there again to try their rendang chicken..Hopefully that time I got a place to sit too...hehe..

Snowflake - Taiwanese Dessert @ Pavillion KL

Dessert time again...haha...my favourite time ....

This time I had went to Snowflake which is serving nice Taiwanese dessert....I had saw some good review through some blogs and even been introduced in a food show "Ho Jiak" TV8...hehe...so I must try it especially for sure at hot weather lately...

Last Sun, my bf wanted to go to Times Square KL to get something ....buy helicopter...not cheap too and no ideas why guys just so love with such toys...Anyhow, I would use the same amount of money to buy a bag / cloths/ shoes or maybe a nice meal...haha..

While waiting for the toy collection, we had about 1-2 hours...so we say we head to Pavillion for the dessert. As you know, the path from Times Square to Pavillion is quite a long journey...I guess, I have used about 25min to reach there under a hot sun....Sweating and looking for the direction. I knew the dessert house is just in front of the Padini Concept store and so it would be very easy to find it..haha..Once got it, I begin to make my order...

Upon ordering and payment...I was given the receipts + so called a "machine" to me which written... "BEEPING UFO" ..it is one of the speciality from Snowflake...when this "baby UFO"starts vibrating and flashing....means our order is ready for collection at the counter...

Beeping UFO..cute technology...

Hereby my dessert on that day:

Snowflake Best Seller (RM6.50) - which is the grass jelly ice + grass jelly + taro balls....creamer below is given to add more taste to the dessert...I pour the creamy slowly and mixed everything together..it is tasty and yummy..the taro ball is chewy and have some yam flavour...match quite well with everything...

The small cup of creamer....

Japan Combo (RM6.50) - I selected this for my bf which one of the item that I wanted to try too..below is ice with soya bean flavour which topped with taro ball (green tea flavour) + red beans....This is nice to try too...

The dessert here is quite refreshing and good for hot weather. But besides cold dessert, they do serve it in hot too...so you may bring your friend or family to try it on....

A Wet Thai Village

Have you ever wondering away from town ...to a small village beside a fishing pond...haha...This is here Im...I never know this place is that near and so hidden...Dont ask me how they can think of this place for their business but is truth there are quite a number of customers who will drive into the place to have a meal...

This place is so called A Wet Thai Village.Im sure you saw one of their branch in Taman Yulek. They are serving nice Thai cuisine...and for your info, this place is bigger ...as you can see...the word "village"...lol...They build it like a small village...with lots of huts...all the surrounding is mostly like inside a small deep jungle with a big fishing pond beside...

The parking areas....in front of the hut which is also the eating place...

The other part of the eating place...i havent venture into there due to my bro want to have a table near the fishing pond...

eating place beside the fishing pond...it is weird the background have those flats?? haha...do you feel familiar with place le?? hehe...Im sure some might have guess where is here already...

The chosen table ....the view i could see from my table...

They dont served pot of tea...mostly is all need to order individually...my parent just each have a glass of chinese tea (RM0.60).. I saw other cold beverage is standard price (RM4.50)...It will be expensive because we may tend to order more than a glass since we are having spicy food in here...
Kedondong Juice & Ice Honey Lemon (RM4.50 each)

Their menu.....there are actually of lot of variety we can choose.....you should check it yourself...they also do served normal & ala Thai steamboat....maybe next time i gonna to try it..

The pot of rice...quite disappointing because the rice served is already cold...and tend to be harden already.... RM6.40 for 4 person

Siam Steamed Squid with eggs in Thai style (RM25)- the white squid is stuffed with egg and steamed together...lastly pour on the watery gravy or maybe soup..lots of minced garlic and chilies....the gravy/ soup is quite spicy...anyhow, i prefer deep fried squid than this...this style should be works better using a fish...keke..

Pandan Chicken (RM15 for 6 pcs) - this is delicious...the chicken breast meat is marinated well and tender when eating it....but sadly it is just a small piece with a price of RM2.50 per piece...you may feel like not so worth it....haha

Ya Mong Mong / Mango Salad (RM12) - a dish which I always ordered...sliced of mangos mixed with special Thai sauce....sweet and sour the same time with some nuts sprinkled on top and some dried cuttlefish to make the dish more flavouring...

White Tomyam Seafood (RM20) - The soup is quite nice with prawns , squids, fish meat etc....It is a white tom yam...yes..it maintain the same spicyness and sour taste of a normal tom yam....best taken while it is still warm...if not, it might get salty the end...haha

BBQ Fish in Thai style (RM30) - my bro say the whole fish is marinated /cover with salt together and BBQ it till cooked...then when eaten, we will take out the skin and eat the meat inside...for this dish, i think the fish is slightly tasteless..should marinated more...haha...but anyhow, we are given a special thai sauce to dip and eat. The fish is fresh too...

Stir Fry HK Kai Lan with Salted Fish (RM16) - nothing much special about this and i cant get much salted fish in this dish too...so it look more to normal stir fry vegetable with garlic to me

Anyhow, we still quite satisfy with meals...At least we finish all the dish and back home full full...The good thing, i never get bitten by mosquito during the whole course meal...Fyi, im always worry whenever i need to have dinner in a deep place covered with lots of tree...because im very "attracted" to small insects...no ideas why...

Night view....
