Dinner @ Wong Kok Char Chan Teng

Last night, my bf came to have a simple dinner with me. He wish to go to Giant, Taman Segar to get something ...Due to it is Friday, there is pasar malam (night market) at Taman Segar....so the place is quite jam and crowded...After getting our things, we headed to Wong Kok Char Chan Teng at Leisure Mall..

Im quite full so i just have a cold drink only...Weather is quite hot lately...Do you all agree with it?? Anyway, check out the meal below....a super big dinner...he such a big eat !! haha..

Pop Passion Fruit Ice Blended (RM4.50) - a nice refreshing passion fruit juice with blended ice....Inside got something like popping jelly....it is transparents and once you try to bite it, it pop out some sweet juice....a good drink to have during hot hot weather...

Santa Claus (RM8.50) - Erm, it is something like blueberry / some kind of berries blended...and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...this drink is way too sweet as you drink more...So, we almost unable to finish the drink...

Wine & Chicken Bee Hun (RM10.30) - a good choice for a not oily or heavy dish....the soup is nice with the strong hint of wine and added "kei chi".......chicken chunks meat in spread on top...with some spring onions....

The above bee hun is just not enough for my bf..and he added another rice to satisfy his tummy..haha

XO Special Fried Rice (RM9.80) - the XO sauce is just make the fried rice so flavoruing...there are not much ingrediant inside but the rice is nicely done...which not oily...with some green vegetable shredded cabbage...a good try...wonder where i could get such XO sauce?? hehe

Anyway, is Saturday .....Hope everyone have a happy weekend

Noodle Shack @ IKANO

Last night, we redeemed 2 free ticket to watch " The Other Guy" at Cathay Cineleisure. We reached early and decided to have a quick dinner before we proceed to the cinema. While we are waiting for the movie to start (930PM), we walked across to Ikano in search of foods.

Here is the shop. I unable to take a clear view of the restaurant...It is so called Noodle Shack which they specialized in pan me..There are dry / soup pan mee to be choose. For all the pan mee available, all are served without pork and it is replaced with chicken meat...so guess it might be halal..

Traditional Pan Mee Soup - the soup is clear and not oily. The noodle is chewy and taste good. My bf quite like it but one not good, the portion given is quite small. Fyi, after my bf done with this bowl, he went to eat another bowl of noodle in different place...haha...

Sambal Pan Mee - guess it has the same concept like those chily pan mee...but this they have the sambal ....the sambal is slightly sweet and not spicy at all.... The noodle texture is slightly hard compare the soup pan mee ....for this, we need to mixed the egg yolk , sambal and the chicken chunks meat and eat together. The taste is still ok.... wish they could provide a small bowl of soup so the noodle wont be so dry...

Ba Kut Teh @ Klang

Just to share with you the Bak Kut Teh I had before in Klang..Guess everyone would know that Klang is famous for their Bak Kut Teh. Even Im not a super fan of this due to its fatty meat..but once a while I would have it...My bf introduced this place to me...He is the driver most of the time...He told me that this areas is mostly full Bak Kut Teh outlets...Some are quite famous. Guess the place is somewhere at Taman Intan , Klang..

Below is some of the outlet I had tried before...

1. Restoran Bah Kut Teh Mo Sang Kor
Main entrance. This is one of their branch

the guy who busy serving n chopping the meat of Bak Kut Teh to serve the customer

Mo Sang Kor version of Bak Kut Teh - we order for a mixed - meat + pork intestines . The pork meat is tender with some fats(my bf's fav)....but i felt it is quite fat...The soup given is quite less compare outside... the soup looks thick and creamy(more concentrated)...with some taste of herbal...you may check into here, whereby the tv show from Taste with Jason, Astro did introduced this Bak Kut Teh before...and check out their reasons the soup so limited. hehe..

The areas nearby the Mo Sang Kor Bak Kut Teh...the corner is also a Bak Kut Teh outlet...renovated quite nice compare other outlet which i think many tourists might drop by there due to it looks clean and cozy. I tried their Bak Kut Teh before some time ago and the taste is just so so.

2. Kedai Minuman Dan Makanan Teluk Pulai (Pottery) Ba Kut Teh

Side Entrance - this place is always full of customers and once a while, we may need to wait in order to get a table..Some might me be making orders 1st while wait for table to be seated.

Their Bak Kut Teh - their soup looks clearer compare the above Mo Sang Kor and served in a claypot....they have some beancurd skin and vegetable to served together with a pot of meats...and my bf say their pork intestines given is very nice and chewy...Fyi, whenever I eat Bak Kut Teh, I seldom drink the soup. But I saw, most of them would request for extra soup...guess you should be one of them..haha...anyway, many of us is truly love Bak Kut Teh very much...

**********************************************************

Btw, there is a nice candy nearby that area... Im not sure whether you all pass by / seen it before...Nearby the parking lots, there is some road stalls and you noticed an old uncle selling candies...hehe..I always bought it once Im done with my meal at there...Guess it just available in the morning till noon only...

Ding Sing Candy Sweet

The uncle is rolling the candy ( not sure what this candy called ) around the wooden stick. And it served to customers. This is my fav. Usually when you bought outside this candy, it is harden but as for this, you could see it is quite fresh. Once eaten it like melted inside your mouth and the texture is smooth and soft.

D'Rich @ SS2

Last Saturday night, we decided to try a new place...which we spotted at SS2...any way(beside / behind) the BHP Petrol..Im sure you saw it from there....It is the D'Rich -King of Good Food...hehe...1st time hear it....So hard to resist it ...and here Im ....

View from the front

At simple glance, the menu item especially the beverages is slightly same with the Pappa Rich but not extensive like it...but they have their speciality too...They do offer some nice desserts like cake . I wish to try but it just too sinful to have it during night time...because I scare fat...haha..

One of the counter...my view here saw many cake being display on the fridge...and those staff busy preparing bread and other foods to serve the customers etc...

The environement - it is open air here but i noticed there is an air-con area deep inside the place...Anyway, night time is just good to be outside...feel the cool breeze...and might be feeling some mosquito bites...haha

Our Drinks : Ice Barley Lime (RM3.50) & Cham Ice (RM3.50)

White Tom Yam Mee Hoon (RM11.90) - this tom yam soup is nice...quite spicy and sour , but I love it the way...haha...the soup is clear with lots of fresh seafood.
Sze-Chuan Chicken Noodle (RM6.90) - the noodle is nice...smooth and chewy...and the portion given is way too much for me..with some sliced spicy chinese pickled vegetable and chicken...to add some spiciness taste on it..

Seaweed Chee Cheung Fun with Shrimp Floss (RM2.80) - simple HK style chee cheung fun.....wrapped with some seaweed....and topped with spicy and salty shrimp floss...which add in flavour to this simple dish...not to say soy sauce also acts an important part here...

Anyway, it is nice eating there...will be there again to try their cakes...

Kechara Oasis @ Jaya One

Finally Im able to be at Kechara Oasis with my vegetarian kaki...haha..Kechara Oasis is a new age vegetarian cuisine.. Inside the interior is quite classy..At 1st, we really thought of just ordering some simple order like fried rice etc...haha...just to have the feel there...But once we reached there and we saw there do have some kind of pomotion set meal which is quite affordable...And this kind of promotion is available from Mon till Sat...quite good too...

Besides that, once we made our orders, their waiters comes with some free appetiser...a small glass of mango lassi and a somekind of salad(vege stick)...

cucumber + carrots cut in stick....and dip below is somekind like wasabi to me..slightly spicy...beside that is the mango lassi i mentioned which i very love it..wish they could be refillable...haha...

So check out our meals :

In the set menu, we have chosen the set for 4 person which you may choose 4 set of dishes from a selected menu...The set meal comes with a pot of tea and each a bowl of rice...The set we have is RM58nett...which I think is a good deal...the environment is nice and service is good.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls - vegetarian spring rolls deep fried and dip with the special sweet and spicy sauce...Include also some green vegetable and pickle cucumber and carrots...the spring rolls is slightly oily but its good to wrap with the green vegetable...

Long Bean with beancurd - stir fry long bean and beancurd with soy bean sauce...my bf say slightly salty but i feel, it match my taste..haha......

Ma-Po Tofu - white taufu being cooked together with mushroom & vegetarian meat which cut in cube ....slightly spicy....good to spread on rice and eat together.

Kung Po Chicken - vegetarian style of "kung po" chicken...with some dried chilies, capsicum and carrots slices...

It is a nice place for some family gathering there...thinking to bring my uncle to go there for a try....He is a vegetarian but staying at Australia..he will be back this coming Nov....During that period, i would be having more vegetarian meal...hehe
