Erm, quite some time i have been asking people where got dry bak kut teh....I heard there is one at Subang and this time i found it at Puchong....Actually i saw in the food tv show before but so far dont have the chance to go there due to my bf say is quite far for him to fetch me there. But after few persuasion from me, haha...he decided to bring me go...He also wanna eat it because my bro say is quite special about their dry bak kut teh too...

So, we started to travel and plan to go there to have breakfast before headed back to IOI for some window shopping. We reached there around 11am+ but the place is already crowded. We are lucky that we able to get a place very soon. Once i saw people pay the bill, i quickly step beside the table waiting they went away. Quite paiseh too but no choice unless u want to be gentleman at there....then, i think 1 hour you also cant eat it....somemore my bf is quite impatient sometimes...

Once we get our table, a lady boss already come to ask what we wanna order. We also have a green vegetable as side dishes and 2 rice...

Restoran Hong Kee Tim Sum

Supposingly last weekend, i have planned to have morning dim sum at Axian Dim Sum but once we reached there, the place has been full already. Quite disappointed and without a choice we just spotted other dim sum restaurant nearby. Hong Kee Tim Sum....it is sound familiar?? I think so. I just saw this same restaurant nearby PJ if not mistaken.

The restaurant is quite big and spacious. They dont have much small table for 2 and the end we have seated on a medium round table which can accommodate about 5ppls. ..haha ..paisei ..paisei...each table is covered with a red plastic sheet.....is for easy to clean up the table to prepare for the coming new customers.

We begin to order our drinks and slowly as usual, waiting for those dim sum cart/ ppl to come to us. As we can see, mostly they served a lot of those fried dim sum which is not our choice for that day. In the middle of the restaurant, i saw some staffs were busy taking and arranging those hot dim sum to be served to customer.

After a few minutes, we slowly get to choose our dim sum. Just dont worry, there are a lot of choice for you all to pick . It just 2 of us cant take much of the dim sum variety there...Then,we slowly noticed that the place is getting packed with customers. And here we saw their services get quite messy that time. The thing we want, it dont seem to come. Since we came in, we order for Char Siew Bao.....but never seem to come till we request again from a lady boss. haiirs...when more customers coming in, sure happen all this...

Here some of the dim sum we ate that time :

"Wu Kok" - Fried yam stuffed with meats. Outside looks nice but the taste quite bland...

Stir-fried Glutinous Rice - to be honest, this come out to be nice. Me and my bf love to eat it. There are chinese sausages, some fried eggs, spring onions etc...

Steamed Chicken Legs - My bf favourite dish. He say eat more good for our legs oh...But i never touch it...

Pumpkin "Siew Mai "- This "siew mai" is little special because they have put some pumpkin into it which make it taste sweet.

"Char Siew Pao" - nothing much special...

Bumbu Bali Restaurant

I have heard of this restaurant before and till now i only be able to dine in here...All thanks to all my friends who has celebrate my early birthday in Bumbu Bali which is a place for Balinese foods...Due to that time we went there, the 2nd floor is under renovation, the ground floor is open for customers only. If the place is fully seated, then the customers has to wait for the table. To be honest, the place is quite hot...One of the reasons is due to no air con(the place is using ceiling fan) and secondly is due to the Malaysia weather lately...quite hot nowadays....

Some of my friends has arrived to the place earlier and make their drink order already. They have order Barley Lime(which can also order by a jug = 5 glasses). We have order 3 jugs that time. My friend say this drink really make her feel good and very suit for the hot weather now.

Other cold beverages include Iced Capucinno & Iced Latte

Im not well, so i cant have any iced drink, so i have choose a hot beverage which is the Earl Grey Tea. Nothing much special but it comes with a piece of small biscuit of nuts.

So, what we have order for a table of 9 persons? Here there are:

Sate Lilit - minced fish/prawn paste wrapped around lemongrass which acts as skewer. I think it is grilled with mix herbs and it is nice to eat.

Tipat Cantuk - Balinese warm vegetable salad with taufu, rice cake(nasi ketupat), prawns and herbs which served with Tamarind Peanut Dressing. The peanut dressing(sauce) is really and sweet. Just like the satay sauce. It is not sipcy at all.

Mixed Green Salad - A mixture of fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, boiled egg, shallots, fried taufu with a spicy lemongrass & Shallet Dressing. Once agian, the sauce which make the different and it is quite refressing to have this meal.

Cumi-cumi Goreng - it is a combo of fried white squid and potatos. The fried squid is very crispy.

Bumbu Bali Trio - a trio of of lemon grass satay stick, fried sotong (squid) and BBQ wings. The 3 accompanying sauces were sambal, lemon grass and mayonnaise.

Nasi Campur Bumbu Bali - Balinese speciality rice served with grilled lemongrass prawns, squid, fish, and beef/ chicken rendang, vegetable(kangkung) with sambal terasi and sambal matah, rempeyek etc. I think this rice set is wonderful as it combine most of the grilled meats /seafoods you really wish to try alltogether in Bumbu Bali. All in one and it is tasty. Erm...no wonder so fast finish by my friends and when reach in front of me, they just left kangkung for me. haha...

Grilled Pasta - You can choose either to have prawns, squid and fish or you may choose from other meats such as grilled chicken, beef, or even vegetable. I think it is nothing different except for the meat which lay on top...it is a nice pasta too with lots of herbs...

Since we are quite full, we have decided to share a dessert which is the Es Campur. Quite "paiseh" when all of us(except me) share the glass of dessert. Es Campur is something like ice blended with coconut milk and mixed with lots of sago , some coconut candies and slices of banana. The comment that my friend given is the drink is too much "santan" which make us scare to have it much as our tummy is really full..lol...

Anyhow, just try it yourself ....

Tak Fok H.K Seafood Restaurant (Puchong Branch)

Im sure when everyone is talking about having nice and affordable price crabs, they would be thinking having it at Tak Fok Restaurant which located at Kepong. But now, all of you all can have it at Puchong too.

I did went to the Kepong branch for few times and i really missed their crab so much. Now, i get to know Puchong have a new branch and i decided to try it with a group of friends. Supposing i have tried to call the restaurant to book a table as we worry we cant get any table when we reach there but i had been informed through phone that table is not allowed to book during weekends. So no choice, on that day, i have went there 1/2 hour earlier to get a place. We are lucky to have it.

While waiting for some other friends to arrived, i have get ask the lady boss to get my order 1st before the restaurant getting more crowded and more orders coming in. The 1st question they lady boss ask me is how many ppl will be dining in...and i say 7ppls...U know what, she told me, usually during Sat/ weekends, they only restrict us(7ppls in a table) to have 1 1/2 kg of the crabs only. Thats sounds too little for us. Last time, while we dine in in Kepong, we order 3 types of crab with the 2kg per dishes...haha...No choice and we just orders other dishes...

Here ther orders:

Salted Egg Crabs (1kg = RM22) - This is one of my favourite crab dishes. The salted eggs is like wrap the crabs itself in this dish. yummy but one thing, why the salted egg in this dish is not little salty than it should be...salted eggs problems or the chef did not wish us to have it too salty, lol??

Sweet & Spicy Crabs (1/2kg = RM10) - This is another style of cooking the crabs. The crabs is mix with the sweet and some spicy chilies sauce. Its good to order this because the dish provide a thick gravy which you can dip their homemade bun(mantou) to eat together.

Note: beside the 2 other crab dishes, you can choose others such as the Crab with Cheese sauce, Marmite crab and many more etc....

Steamed / Fried bun (RM6 for 12 buns)- their homemade bun which good to dip into the sweet & spicy crab or the cheesy crab gravy.

Stir-Fry Spicy Vegetable (RM14-Large) - Green vegetable stir-fry with chilies belacan and dried shrimp...nice and quite spicy too...

Fu-Chou Toufu (RM15) - soft toufu which on top with the minced meat and "mui choy" gravy...nice and good to be eat with rice.

Mongolian Lai Lui Har( "Pissing Prawn" in Mongolian Style) (RM 18)- hehe...direct translation from my canto, pls dont mind...for this dish, we did not expect this dish to be that hot due to the peppers. Quite spicy but not due to their sauce but i think the pepper which cover the skin of the "pissing prawn"..haha....is it Mongolian love spicy thing??

Marmite Pork(RM18) - This dish almost finish very fast when the dish is served on table. Might be our friend like the marmite style or maybe the dish is too small for us. haha...

Overall, the dish is still ok but im not sure i still prefer the one at Kepong..haha...just try it yourself...

The Waterlily Cafe- Puchong

After checking through online... i have found out this cafe near the Puchong. We decided to go there to celebrate our frens birthday. I really not noticed this cafe even i did pass by the place before when i went to IOI Mall..lol.. In front of the cafe, there is place for grilling. We have our seat and we start to order the drink. We have order the Waterlily Fresh Fruit Ice Blended and also the special ABC. I think if you all really thinking to go there, i think you all should order the ABC compare the fruit ice blended.

For the main course, I have order Nasi Lemak + Grilled Chicken...the rice is soft and fragrant. And their sambal is really spicy...but yet you will ate it with the rice.

My bf have order the Grilled Chicken + beef set. The set is really in a big portion but he can finish it. He told me, the beef really nice and so nice to eat.

For the Grilled Squids, to be honest, the squids really large... Plus some fried potatoes...for your info, mostly all the grilled set sure have those fried potatoes...sure very full after this meals. All the set is included with drinks and soup.

And for those seafood lovers, maybe they could order the Salmon set which i think is not bad too. The set is also looks very tasty with a the fresh salmon.

One of my friend wish to have a light food. So he decided to order Grilled fish salad. Erm, not bad and i think sure very juicy. haha....my friend finish it all.

One more thing which should try is the Mushroom soup. Very creamy with some garlic bread. Have it while it still hot.....
My comments, the set are in big portion. You all can choose to share each set together so you all could taste more different foods there. lol...
