I did went to the Kepong branch for few times and i really missed their crab so much. Now, i get to know Puchong have a new branch and i decided to try it with a group of friends. Supposing i have tried to call the restaurant to book a table as we worry we cant get any table when we reach there but i had been informed through phone that table is not allowed to book during weekends. So no choice, on that day, i have went there 1/2 hour earlier to get a place. We are lucky to have it.
While waiting for some other friends to arrived, i have get ask the lady boss to get my order 1st before the restaurant getting more crowded and more orders coming in. The 1st question they lady boss ask me is how many ppl will be dining in...and i say 7ppls...U know what, she told me, usually during Sat/ weekends, they only restrict us(7ppls in a table) to have 1 1/2 kg of the crabs only. Thats sounds too little for us. Last time, while we dine in in Kepong, we order 3 types of crab with the 2kg per dishes...haha...No choice and we just orders other dishes...
Here ther orders:
Salted Egg Crabs (1kg = RM22) - This is one of my favourite crab dishes. The salted eggs is like wrap the crabs itself in this dish. yummy but one thing, why the salted egg in this dish is not little salty than it should be...salted eggs problems or the chef did not wish us to have it too salty, lol??
Sweet & Spicy Crabs (1/2kg = RM10) - This is another style of cooking the crabs. The crabs is mix with the sweet and some spicy chilies sauce. Its good to order this because the dish provide a thick gravy which you can dip their homemade bun(mantou) to eat together.
Note: beside the 2 other crab dishes, you can choose others such as the Crab with Cheese sauce, Marmite crab and many more etc....
Steamed / Fried bun (RM6 for 12 buns)- their homemade bun which good to dip into the sweet & spicy crab or the cheesy crab gravy.
Stir-Fry Spicy Vegetable (RM14-Large) - Green vegetable stir-fry with chilies belacan and dried shrimp...nice and quite spicy too...
Fu-Chou Toufu (RM15) - soft toufu which on top with the minced meat and "mui choy" gravy...nice and good to be eat with rice.
Mongolian Lai Lui Har( "Pissing Prawn" in Mongolian Style) (RM 18)- hehe...direct translation from my canto, pls dont mind...for this dish, we did not expect this dish to be that hot due to the peppers. Quite spicy but not due to their sauce but i think the pepper which cover the skin of the "pissing prawn"..haha....is it Mongolian love spicy thing??
Marmite Pork(RM18) - This dish almost finish very fast when the dish is served on table. Might be our friend like the marmite style or maybe the dish is too small for us. haha...
Overall, the dish is still ok but im not sure i still prefer the one at Kepong..haha...just try it yourself...
