Clock Tower
Melaka is a famous for its historical places. There are a lot of historic buildings you can see in the town. Some of the building I cant even recognize what is it as I do not know how to read Mandarin. But my BF did explain to me in short le. Once of the famous place would be Stadthuys(Dutch Bulding) whereby you see the clock tower and the Christ Church. You can get most of souvenirs from there such as batik style dress, t-shirt, bags and house decoration. If you have the budgets and wish to try, you may go for the beca riding(Trishaw riding).
If wanna go for some shopping, you may also go for a walk at the Mahkota Parade. A nice and big shopping mall at there..If looking for some special food to eat, then maybe you can pass by the Baba & Nyonya Heritage. There are many historic building and foods for you to try on.
During night time, please do visit the Jonker Walk which look like a pasar malam or maybe a Melaka style Petaling Street…. Many sourviners you can get from there. And more, you can taste their local foods there. There is a stage whereby sometimes there are singing contest held at there.
If wanna buy some local food for your family and friends, I think I could intro you to this as inside this shop contains mostly all the local food. I felt it is convenient for visitors who are not sure where to get those things and feel lazy to shop 1 by 1 for those local food delights. This shop is Tan Kim Hock Product Centre. It actually introduced by one of local friend at there. But if you all looking for something freshy bake on that day, for sure inside the Melaka town would have it. Something like the fresh pineapple tart and maybe the gula Melaka and also Nyonya Kuih. My fav again..haha…
Below are the local delights which I have bought for my family and friends. What a nice trip and full trip…eat full full !! It just a short trip(2 day 1 night) and have to say bye-bye to Melaka but yet I feel I wish to go there again ….lol…for sure go there for their local foods le…hehe…..
