Sushi Tei @ Tropicana City

Supposingly last night i was rushing to Midvalley but due to a suddenly heavy rain and traffic jam, im unable to make it till there. With quite disappointment, my bf say we just go to Tropicana City to find food and see whether we able to watch any movie. We checked no movie which suit our time. So, the end, without no choice, we just headed for our dinner.

Suddenly my bf say feel like having sushi. So, here we are. The Sushi Tei @ Tropicana City. Their interior quite nice and warm...what i means warm is actually hot..haha..might be due to the lights thats being hanging on top of each table / corner. We can spot the sushi bar in the middle and chef busy preparing fresh sushi... and the whole thing is like a wooden restaurant located at a deep forest. Does the place give you such feel?? hehe.. When you browse the menu, you could feel it looks slightly familiar with the Senjyu Sushi. Maybe every sushi house is like this le..hehe..At 1st, we thought it might be expensive but somehow the price is still acceptable. Kinda broke lately...need a lot of thing to prepare for coming CNY celebration...

So, hereby the orders we have....

Chicken Katsu Zaru with Udon (RM13.80) - a cold udon with a deep fried chicken breast. The portion is just enough and when you ate it, it give you a nice and refreshing feel...The cold udon deep into the small bowl of so called "soup" to my bf..hehe...

Saba Teriyaki served with rice (RM13.80 + RM2.50) - My bf love to have this kind of fish...not oily and maintain the juicy meat with combined with the terayaki sauce...Rice is ordered separately.

He never feel satisfy. When there is a meal, there sure be other side dishes....And this time, we have Inari Sushi(RM1.60), Tamago(RM1.60), Ebi (RM3.80) and Salmon sushi (RM3.80)...You can get all this at the conveyor belt sushi and we are sitting in the other corner so all this is served by the waiter there...All is quite fresh and im quite full after the meal...I feel like im eating a lot of rice..haha..

Least but not to forget, a cup of green tea (RM2) as our drinks....we did not manage to get any dessert due to by the time we finish our meal, it almost 10pm le....so i guess, they will be closing shop soon as i saw they are busy cleaning the place...lol...

Total bills come out at RM49.40 (included service charge 10%) .

Concept Restaurant by Boston

Main Entrance

The interior - nice and decent...

Last Wed, my bf came to Cheras to find me after his late work. That time, i just done with my dinner. But he ask me to join him for a quick dinner. So, i suggest to go to Leisure Mall..because there is a new food corner opening up there. And there is a concept restaurant called Boston. My BF did tried out one of their branch outlet at Jaya One and he quite like their coffee...So, this time, we are heading there for coffee and see what else he can have there...

Actually time quite rush as by the time we reached there is almost 930pm and we just have a quick browse of the menu. We get to know that they will be closing at 11pm..Since im still full , i juz order myself a Milk tea(RM2.95) while he for sure got himself a cup of Coffee(RM2.95).

Milk Tea (left) ; Coffee (Right)

As for him, he has ordered a bowl of House Noodle (RM9.95). It is something like a noodle served with green vegetables, sliced chicken, got pineapple cubes(walau eh!!) and deep fried beancurd in clear soup but a small spoon of special house sauce on top of it. Their special chili paste is not so hot but quite salty..It should be something like spicy clear soup...

My bf dont feel spicy at all and request for more for the house chili sauce....(as above)...haha..

Anyway, the total bill came to RM17.45 (Added service charge -10%) ....

Kedai Kopi Kow Po

Last weekend, i have followed my bf to go back to his hometown...To be honest, im quite worry everytime i back to his hometown...Y?? because i always come back with lots of unexpected sourvenirs...aikks....is those mosquito bite marks...Quite scary...and i dono why those insects so "in love" with my bloods...Might be due to im a city gal and went to their kampung place. "new stuff", never tried before.......haha...and more scary is once i get bitten, the mark will get swollen like a ping pong size. Can you imagine i got bitten with 5 marks that week...Hard to believe it...and the swollen will only got off after around 1 week and when i dont scratch it..hard also..

Anyway, when i back there is actually quite nice. His mum love to cook a lot of those vegetable which grown by themselves("Paku choi") and home-grown chickens.....and i always bring back a lot of home grown banana..my parents love their banana..all is grow organically and sweet compare outside sell...hehe...

So, to cut short....whenever we back to his hometown, we would passed by Bentong town...And what special there. haha...is desserts...there is a nice shop owned by a Chinese and served a nice ice cream....I been there twice. Dont say city gal dont like those kampung place. The interior is slightly simple and not so grand like those dessert house in KL but the special is what they served.

The interior - with those steel chair & table

the place where ABC is prepare...

We have ordered 2 bowl of ABC aka "ais kacang"(RM3 per bowl)...as you seen, inside the ABC, there put a lot of ingrediants such as cendol, mixed cans fruits, corns, red beans, fresh milk and sweet syrups....and not to forget the most special is a scoop of their homemade ice cream...yummy...My bf had the banana flavour while i have the peanut flavour ice cream...1st time i have heard of this 2 flavours of ice cream...Im very greedy..after done with my own ABC, i go tried my bf ABC..the taste slightly different due to the ice cream...hehe...

There are many other flavours of ice cream they have such as Vanilla, Chocolate, Coconut, Sweet Corn, Coffee etc...mostly is all homemade...

In front the dessert house, there is a malay stall selling nasi lemak, snacks and nasi pulut too..My bf has ordered a plate of rendang pulut(RM3.50)....quite nice. He finished it all...a simple but nice dish...

After we done our meal, we start to continue our travel to his hometown...

Bentong Bus Station which nearby the dessert house...

Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant

Guess what i had for my last meal in Year 2009? Yes...yes..is steamboat..haha..a fresh and nice steamboat. Suppose i did not plan to go anywhere for countdown and even for a meal. But i received a call from my bf that he will come to fetch me to PJ to join some of his friends gathering meal. How lucky I am...But sad to say it, i dont eat much....because i suspect i ate something not clean in the noon and causing my tummy not well that night. But i will give give face and have a try on this lovely invitation steamboat.

To be honest, i dont really talk much during the gathering....Bet my friends would say dont sounds like my style. I used to be super "kepo". What to do...Most of my bf's friend is Mandarin speaking and my mandarin just so so..Quite slow in talking but i will still smile as i understand what they are talking...haah...anyway, i still enjoy it..

Ok..let's get back to the topic...The restaurant is quite hidden in a housing area...and even my bf also not so familiar with the place and keep wondering, is there really such restaurant inside. Indeed it is available and quite packed when we reached there around 8pm. Inside the restaurant is like a large and spacious with few wooden hut(good for big group gathering) and also some big umbrella seating place... just like the feel like you are out of town .

Around the eating places, there are cages of animals like chicken, duck, live seafood in the aquarium and even turtles..haha...

a snapshot of their toilet...haha...saw the empty pond with a sleeping turtle?? haha..

There are few set of menu we could choose from, either you prefer for a normal standard steamboat or with live seafood as add on items...and we have asked one of the staff there to recommend us.

Below is some of the menu on that day.

Their chili sauce
normally we found such items in original steamboat...fish ball, vegetables, beancurd skins etc...

Giant Clams - all is nicely clean up and taste good...

Abalone Slices...haha...lucky each still have a piece of it..

Mussels - big and juicy...and not to saw, it is nicely clean up so we felt it is safe and hygiene to consume it...

Our big pot...with their special herbal soup -Village Drunken Pot..the soup is a must to try...not oily, added with lots of herbal such as the "kei chi" and chinese wine..which quite suit to make a nice seafood steamboat...

Pot which already put in Flower Crabs, fresh and live Tiger Prawns and Red Snapper Fish...Sorry that i dont have the full meal photo as i was quite busy looking at those guys putting the seafood...(i got help help little so i cant hold the camera to take picture for you all)....And one very surprise thing, the prawn given to us is still alive. They put the prawn in a plate fully covered when served and all of us keep thinking how to put into the hot boiling pot and avoid the prawn from jumping out.......when we put into the pot, it is still "jumping"..so funny...thats the shot which i think i hav missed it...too bad!! And the fish is nicely cut in piece but maintain as a whole body(with the head and tail in) and we just put into the boiling soup.

Steamed Chicken - never know that they can served such a smooth and tender steamed chicken..I think is one of their signature dishes too..

Prawn which has been cooked and ready to eat. Quite big too the prawn..hehe...

For extra, you may order satay from there. We just sat nearby the satay stall..haha..

Staff pouring beer into the tower...

We have ordered a tower of beers(3 large Carlsberg being load into the tower)....the middle of the tower is the ice cubes to maintain the beers stay cold..

We found all the seafood served is quite fresh....We are quite statisfy with the meals. Total bill is around RM360 for 9 persons...(RM40 per person)...Im sure is a nice place for friend gathering and having fresh seafood....Anyone wanna join me?? I have let YC knew about this place. Hope to go there again. She just want to have seafood only...haha...Good news for all seafood lovers..
