A World Without Safety...

Lately im sure most of us have been hearing a lot of cases of snatch thief which i think it is more more scary than what i did encountered. I just received a sms from my friend saying her sis nearly be a victim of the snatch thief...When she on the way back, she was followed by 2 motorist and came nearby her. They demanded her to give her belonging. And she throw her belonging to nearby house. Then the thief saw her pocket like have something and demanded her to take it out. And she take it out and throw at other house. The thief felt like she trying to fool them and begin to take a knife trying to chase her. Lucky that time, there is an uncle to shout and the thief run away. It just really a close escape.

Now i think they should not be calling snatch thief. They could consider as killer as they are armed with weapons whenever they try to rob. They will slashed you till ur helpless and they take your belongings. To be honest, i been a victim for 3 times. Can you imagine it? 3 scenes happened in 3 different places in each subsequent of the year. Im not sure im the lucky one or how. 3 times i did not lost my belonging BUT i ended with bruises and one time i ended in the hospital. 1st and 2nd time, i just dont even have the chances for me to fight or how...It just snatched from my back and i fall. It really scary. 3rd times, i already be very extra careful and try to walk with few peoples, but suddenly out of the sight, all the people are gone and i suddenly fall....then i knw my bag is being grab by someone but they failed to get the bag. Both of them feel disappointed and try to chase me. I run with all my life till i saw an aunty behind a house to beg her to let me in. But she do not let me in but she help to me check in front of her house whether has the thief run away or not . Coz my both hand n leg is bleeding and scary. I understand it. When i started to saw some student / aunty walking pass the road...i follow them till i sat in the mamak stall and called my parents to come to fetch me. I very remembered the scene. I cant even speak normally and my whole body shaking and in pain. And this 3rd time, i got few unforgetable small scars after the incident...

Nearby my areas, my friend's dad also closely become the victim of those thief. He back around 5am ++ and he saw some snatch thief taking out their "parang" knife trying to come forward. Lucky he able to throw some big stones and scare them away. He keep shouting till some of the neigbour hear it and the thief run. Around my areas, i heard from my parents saying a victim, a lady....one being slashed on hand and then taken her belonging, now might be unable to move her hand. The second case being slashed on the face and body before taken her belonging and can you imagine, the police station is actually very nearby but they dare to do it....and the gal ended with lots of blood on the road...Those aunty walking pass there still saw those blood stains in the next morning ....

Issit the thief so desperate for money? If they dont hav money, why they have money to get a knife and pump petrol juz to find their victims? Or they are stealing for fun? Steal for money then buy petrol and then patrolling around to find next victim ?? Can you imagine how will their victim will be in the whole life?? They are not sad because of losing their belonging.. Is the become very scare about the outside life. They scare of listening the sound of motorcycles..Everytime the motorcycle pass by they will saw themselves in the past when they fall down and get hurt....Im consider lucky but how you will compensate for those who has lost their hand or maybe lost their life.

I hope everyone will be extra careful no matter you are walking or driving also....Please make sure everyone are armed also..I means bring some umbrella, pepper spray or maybe an personal alarm....at least it might help you little when you need it...

e 食无忧 - Taman Segar

Last Mon, i have drop by at this cafe to have a gathering with my primary classmates. What a long time that we dint meet. I did actually spotted this new cafe last 2 weeks. Previously it is the Food & Tea Restaurant but heard they had moved and this new cafe came in to try their business here.

Erm, what so special about this cafe? Not sure...but what i know is there are really really new as the menu book also havent been printed out. We just ordered our thing through a form of paper which listed their foods and beverages. That time i was late and some of my friends are too hungry and they have started to eat already. So, i was just able to take some of the pictures. Erm, dont really ask me about the cafe english name coz i really not sure..but with my own translation , e 食无忧 means "never worry about eating" ...Am i right arr? Sorry if im wrong lol..Hope you guys wont mind...

Erm, actually i think this is consider the 1st branch as i haven't really saw the same cafe name around the KL / PJ areas. If you do noticed it, please do let me know too..hehe....

Let's see, after looking through into the menu, im really not sure what i want to eat as there is no pictures for me to refer to the food. I asked my friend anything nice to eat here...She told me everything in here is nice. Aikks..no wonder le..after half way of the gathering, i knew that her bro is working there as chef...haha...no wonder so "hard sell"...

The end, i have ordered myself a Seafood Udon.. erm, the taste is still ok..but hardly can tell you..coz the way they cook he udon, got spicy, got sweet...it look like tomato sauce but is not. It is udon fried in special sauce with added in large prawns and squids ..One thing definetely, the portion they gave is really big. And i unable to finish it.

Then, i have ordered myself a Hot Honey Lemon. Erm, this look kinda too sweet for me. Possible, if the cup is larger, it sure be nice..haha..not enugh for me to drink....can refill arr? lol...

I managed to take a shot of my friend' side order which is the mini soup dumpling(Siew Long Bao)...lol..Im not sure how the taste look like. Maybe you may go to try it yourself...lol

Overrall, the environment is nice. Will try to go again for 2nd time and hopefully their menu will be out that time. Hope they will introduced more variety in term of foods and beverages. It just like the Kim Gary & Wong Kok whereby they always keep improving themselves and promote more new stuffs to their customers.
Below is the map drawn by myself..lol...

Station Kopitiam @ Cineleisure Damansara

Erm, when I first saw this, I thinking there are a lot of thing I could try from this place. In front of the kopitiam, there have about 50 types of meal for you to choose ranged from rice, noodle, mee hun or western food.

As we were guided to our table and look into the menu, I just unable to know what I should eat. There are tomyan fried rice, Singapore noodle/ mee hun, Hokkien noodle, rice with tom yan fish, chicken chop, lamb chop and many more. The price is still ok.

Since we are just having a simple lunch, my bf had choose a Singapore Fried Mee Hun. Is like a mee hun fried in a tomato sauce with some prawns, vegetables and chicken meats.
And for myself, I have chosen the Spicy Fried Glass Noodle. When both dishes is out, it just look alike. With cucumber and carrot slice sprinkle on top of it. But the taste surely different. My bf say mine one more tasty. For mine, is actually glass noodle fried in a spicy sauce with the same ingredients with my bf ‘s fried mee hun. One thing which I think they add too much water when cooking the mee hun / mee glass….
One mistake my bf has order is the Snowy Chocolate which the taste is really different and not nice. Just feel the snow ice is not match the taste of the choc syrup which they add in. He unable to finish it and asked the waiter to take away from the table..haha..
Then he order a the tarik which is on promo that time(RM0.99 only per glass). He say is better than the Snowy Chocolate.
As for me, I have order myself a Peppermint tea which I think you can easily get it from outside.

Chong Ko Hakka Noodle – Pandan Indah

I have heard that there is same Hakka noodle which I tried in Kuala Lipis is near Pandan Indah. I cant get for some times till I get the info from some of my friends. Erm, Actually this place is very easy to search. It is nearby the shop lots outside Pantai Hospital there.

Erm, what’s the different between the noodle here and the noodle in Kuala Lipis that I tried before? Once of them, I bet is the pricing. Then , I found out, that most of the KL people don’t really like too simple noodle. My parent is one of the kind. I juz don’t have the chance to bring them to Kuala Lipis, so I juz manage to get them to here. When the noodle is dished out, they say, “ Is it this only??” …They will question, why there is no green vegetable; you sure is it this is the chili sauce ; it just look like a noodle which they able to cook by themselves at home. Im a KL people too. I felt that KL people love something which is more variety in term in their food.

To be honest, when im having this noodle is Kuala Lipis, there don’t even have the fishball. Haha..but in KL here, they have add in fishballs / meatballs to make slightly different from what I have in Kuala Lipis. I have brought my bf to try it. He is from Kuala Lipis. Haha…he say eventhough it is almost the same, but yet there is slightly different in term of the taste of both noodle. LOL…For me, I think it should have more minced meat in the bowl. It kinda little compare what I have before. As you know, the noodle is already very plain, so the minced meat is actually add flavours to the noodle. But nevertheless, it is different people, different preferences.

I have side ordered a bowl of dumplings (5 pcs) to tried which I think it is not so special. If you really not sure how to go to Kuala Lipis, you may try this at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur..No worry, if you think it is too plain, you may try for the chicken feet / curry chicken noodle.

Japanese Soft Cotton Cheese Cake

Guess what...finally my cheese cake is successfully baked. hehe...My 1st experience is the cheese cake i baked before was never raised and then it like nyonya kuih to be honest..haha...the end, i have to throw all the cake and i really wasted it.

This time, i have checked on a new recipe. I followed just like what it say and bake it. Wow...at 1st, i really thought it did not success because the 1st half hour, the cake seem did not have any good sign. Then after finish baked, i leave the cake in the oven for about 20min and then take it out...Erm, the cake did not get too burned and become too dark. This should be a good news for me and i inserted a chopstick deep into the cake to confirm it is nicely baked and done.

eh...I dont have a good knife to cut so it looks kinda messy...lol...

So lucky, i successfully did it. It is really soft ,smooth and creamy too...It is really just like eating cotton sweet....haha...just melt inside your mouth...Yes, i have let my family and bf to tried it and they give a good comment. Im really happy and i enjoy eating it too.

  • 7 ounces cream cheese(I used about 200gm of the Philadelphia brand, price around RM10.99)
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup superfine sugar (caster sugar; separate the sugar into two 1/4 cups)
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch / cornflour (don't use plain flour!)I saw some recipe is using plain flour + corn flour. And I wonder is this is the reason this recipe just use corn flour and make the cake so soft and I felt it like melt once eaten?? )
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water

Optional :
-For the glazing

  • 2 tablespoons jam (Apricot or Strawberry)
  • 1/2 tablespoon water

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 175 deg celsius.
  2. Prepare an 8-inch cake tin, line the bottom of the tin with baking paper and grease the entire tin with a bit of cooking oil.
  3. Beat cream cheese with milk to soften.
  4. Add half of the sugar, egg yolks, cornstarch and lemon juice.
  5. Beat until smooth.
  6. Beat egg whites in a separate bowl until foamy.
  7. Gradually add remaining sugar and cream of tartar to the egg white, beating until soft peaks form, about 8-10 minutes.
  8. Put about 1/3 of the egg whites into the cream cheese mixture, stirring gently.
  9. Pour the new cream cheese mixture into the egg whites and fold in gently.
  10. Pour into cake pan and smooth the surface.
  11. Place cake pan into a larger pan and place in lower rack of oven.\
  12. Pour enough water into the pan to come half way up the side of the cake pan.
  13. Bake 40-45 minutes, until a pick inserted in the middle of the centre comes out clean.
  14. If the surface becomes too dark while baking cover with a piece of tin foil, but be careful not to open the oven door until it has been in the oven for at least 20 minutes.
  15. You can eat like this, or you can put jam/glaze on top of it.

Hope you all enjoy it too...Thanks again for the recipe...
