Meow Meow Seafood Grill Fish Restaurant

Last weekend I was having some time with my family. Around evening, i had went to Subang Carrefour to get something...wow...hard to believe that day I already spend a lot that. Due to i bought a new spec and helping my bf to buy some lens and a sunglasses...Anyway, that part, i have save a lot due to my bro knew the optical shop owner...so no complaints...haha

After that, we keep searching for any nice place for our dinner with my family. We look around and headed back to Sunway to try our luck...I passed the Sunway Pyramid which is quite crowded with cars...and causing jam on the road...Then we went deeper and found this restaurant...

At 1st, we thought it is a chinese restaurant....but when you went into it, it looks like Thai style...some of the Thai praying or maybe the TV also subtitle in Thai words...Once more cute thing, their restaurant name is "Meow Meow"...haha...specialized in grilled seafood, i guess... So, the waiter there is nice enough to guide us to an empty table. Our table is just in front of the grilling kitchen...the kitchen is open for viewing...due to glass wall....You may see all those chef is busy grilling, cooking, steaming etc...

Glass Wall - Kitchen

So, we begin to look at their menu. It is quite interesting because as i saw the menu, i feel like wanna to eat it all...haha...

So, as usual, my bro will be the one who made the order...and guess who will pay it...who else?? Me lol...haha...Just take a look of our dishes ordered.

Rice (RM4.80 for 4 paxs) : Rice is placed on a something like Thai style of pot.....

Squid Fried Curry Leaf Belacan with Petai (RM18- Small) : Quite nice but portion is small...maybe due to we are just 4 paxs only....But better without petai, this is due to my mum like it so we request to add petai...The sambal is not spicy but quite flavouring...

Tom Yam Steam Prawn (RM28- Small) : The prawns is being wrapped with aluminium foil together with the tom yam gravy and those vegetables...the ingrediant is rather simple with cabbage, ladyfingers and tomatoes...good thing is the prawn is fresh..we counted there are 7 pcs of prawns altogether.

Salted Egg Bitter Gourd (RM10 - Small) : This is slightly not what we expected. It looks like more to fried egg with bitter gourd than using the salted egg...There are not much salted egg taste...but lucky the bitter gourd is not bitter at all...

Golden Tau Fu (RM13 - Small) : Square type of taufu...egg taufu which taste great with the minced meat.. Slightly spicy and salty..

Steam Kam Fung Fish with Sauce (RM22) : erm, fish is fresh...and the taste of this dish very depending on the soy sauce. Overrall, it just ok for this fish..next time, i should ask for grilled fish better...

Overrall, my family quite ok with their foods. Total bills is RM109.00 included a pot of tea and some service charges.

Pet of the Year....

Erm, dono suddenly i felt like wanna blog this out even is not so related with me...Fyi, my bf just got himself a pet which i think quite expensive compare the one he did purchased before....haha...During the noon, while we window shopping, we passed by the pet shop nearby the Ikano. Suddenly we saw a medium size aquarium being display and he like so interested with it...

We are quite lucky because we able to get a friendly salesperson which explained and give us a lot of useful tips on how to care the living in the aquarium...This is the 1st time, we know that there are a lot of thing need to learn about having a fish as pet...and even we have a termometer to check the temperature of the water for the fish and those greeny leaves to live more beautifully inside the aquarium...

Hereby some of the photos for your info....You may guess the price of it...will let you know later...haha...

Full frame of the aquarium....see the termometer in front of it...in yellow color...hehe...

Fish swimming happily....with those greeny grass....

Nearer view of aquarium...those fish are very colorful...inside have total 7 small fish...

Ok ok....fyi, the total whole set as you see in 1st photo....including fish..is RM300++ for that set(include the termometer, fish food, some "treatment" for fish and green living......one thing about the greeny living such as the grass would grow even more if it is treated well...So, this is what i said the most expensive pet he ever owned....Anyhow, the salesperson is quite helpful and give us a lot of advice....So, in future, i guess we would go there for more often in future....

Hopefully, my bf wont be suddenly feel bored and left the aquarium unwanted...haha..If not, i bring back to my parent ..Anyway, if you are thinking to own a pet, pls feel free to check it out at the pet shop located at Ikano...Im sure they can give you a lot of professional tips on how to care your pet...

DDP Food Court @ Taman Danau Desa

DDP Food Court

Supposing I was waiting for my bf to have a breakfast last weekend, somehow he came to my house late and it is almost lunch time. Im so hungry that time and I told him I wan to eat rice. So, here we are... DPP Food Court which located at Taman Danau Desa. In the previous years, he used to have lunch at here when he is still working in a office nearby there. He told me that inside got a nice nasi lemak with big chicken drumstick....hehe...Besides the fried chicken drumstick...there are also other curry chicken or beef to be choose.

Nasi Lemak stall

Anyhow, i think with that big portion of chicken, is quite full for me. So i go for a big drumstick, some sambal, a boiled egg...and the price is RM6.50 which the price is still ok. The fried chicken is deep fry and marinated very well which make the meat so flavouring. Then add in not so spicy sambal....wow...what a heavy meal I have...Lucky i share it with my bf.

Then i saw a very tall ABC being ordered by some of the customer there. So Im so tempted to try it...forget the price lio...The shaving ice was being "build" tall and on top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It looks nice when it presented but actually the taste to me is just so so...slightly disappointing....And i cant finish it too...because when the ice get melted, i begin to feel there is too much water and not sweet anymore...

Anyway, i still happy with the nasi lemak introduced by my bf. Maybe once a while, i would go there for the food...If you are staying there or passing by ...do try it..

Bel Pasto Italian Restaurant @ Desa Aman Puri

Last weekend, my bf and I had gathered together with some of our friends for dinner. I have to thanks all of them ( Joe, Justin, YC, Kevin, Joanne and not to say my bf) since they are the one who pay for the meals...Anyhow, this place was suggested by Kevin...and he say this restaurant served quite nice italian food.

To be honest, we are not so sure about the direction but lucky we able to find the place in a short while and it just beside the Station One Cafe @ Desa Aman Puri. Heard that they have a second branch at Taman Usahawan, Kepong too... My bf and I had went early to there and we look into their menu. There are many foods being served at there and all looks so yummy to me....

Our drink : Iced Peach Tea & Iced Lemon Tea (RM3.50 each)

Mushroom soup (RM6.80)- not so like it even they say it is tasty...because personally i dislike mushroom...sorry arr...

Soup of the Day (RM4.90) -chicken cream soup. quite tasty and all of us love it...each of us take each scoop of it...

Minestrones Soup(RM5.50) - hehe..contains lot of vegetables...sounds healthy but taste wise is so so...

Caesars Salad (RM9.90) - simple salad with fresh green vegetable and crispy bread tossed with some lemon juice and olive oil...

Calamari Rings (RM12.20) - crispy deep fried calamari with fries....nice to eat but the portion is just not enugh for a big group like us...lucky it just an appetiser..keke...

Hawaiian Pizza (RM15.50) - this is one of my favourite pizza....yummy....the pineapple is sweet and juicy topped with cheese...

Pizza Marinara (RM22.30) - some kind like seafood pizza with topped with seafoods, tomatoes and onions...and quite cheesy too..haha...we finish all in just a short while...

Grilled Salmone (RM26.20) - small portion but great food..salmon fish is nicely grilled dipped with some lemon sauce and the meat is fresh....Each of us got a bite of it....

Spagetti - it is little spicy....but the same time is like more watery than the usual spagetti we have....hehe...should be eaten together with the salmon meat above....

Grilled Chicken Breast with Black Pepper Sauce (RM20.50) - photos taken slighty dark...but is actually it is the black pepper sauce. The sauce is good and i dipped with the fries...The meat is tender and match well with the sauce...

Our Dessert : Tiramisu (RM8.90 per slice) - this is delicious and i heard is a must order item when you dine in there..haha...

Food Foundry Cafe

After having a nice mille crepe at Malacca, I begin to love such cake....I checked online and get to know that there is cafe nearby my bf's house which did sell such cake...lol....so why wait more?? I had went to try it last weekend...

The cafe looks simple and no air-con but surprisingly the place is quite windy that time and I feel good even with just a fan. One more surprise, their menu is super simple whereby printed in a A4 color paper and clipped together....funny too...haha...

There are not much choices in the menu....so I go with Ice Peach Tea (RM3) while for him, a cup of Espresso (RM 4.50)...We have ordered 2 slice of mille crepe which is Vanilla and Chocolate flavour. Besides mille crepe, Food Foundry also did have brownies and other type of cakes...

Here are their mille crepe....

Vanilla Mille Crepe (RM8) - slightly smaller compare the one I had in Malacca...It looks more "wet"..might be due to the overload of creams in between the crepe...

Chocolate Mille Crepe (RM9) - this is more sweeter compare the vanilla flavour and too creamy which cause the cake to feel "wet"....and each layer of crepe slipped out and feel messy...

Anyhow, after this, I personally still prefer the mille crepe which I have eaten at Malacca. I hope to go there to try again to try more other flavour or bought a whole cake back to KL for my friends......If some of you did not have the time to go Malacca, maybe you can get it from here...at least, you know how a mille crepe would look like ....
