Restoran Haixian Zai

Last night, 11 of us has gathered at CS 's house at Klang to celebrate our CNY. We have our super full meal all thanks to our friend, CS. He is really generous to treat us some extra large prawn and a big pomfret fish.

Extra Large Prawn - still raw and frozen..taking out from CS's house. Is it big le?? lol...

So, he had bring us to this restaurant to have our CNY dinner and "lou sang" together. The place is quite full, lucky we are have make booking for it. So for our very 1st dish is our sweet and colorful "yee sang". Guess what, the "yee sang" is spilled out all over the table which is quite messy...due to we are tossing it too "high".haha...Anyway, the higher we toss, means the luckier we will have in this coming days...

The other meals?? hehe...will be shown below here...

Pls take note again... that the extra large prawn and big pomfret fish is brought by CS from his house. We bring it to the restaurant and ask the restaurant boss to help us cook the dish and for sure we need to pay for the labor cost. Hehe..not everyone can do like this. This is due to CS is a loyal customer there and close with the boss . Anyway, the cook there never let us down and did a good job in both the dish...and we are enjoying it too..

Extra Large Prawn - in spicy dark sauce.... spicy but very flavouring...i love it..

The prawn without the head only already so big ...the prawn is so meaty and the prawn head, got a lot of those "har ko"....isit like "drumstick" in the photo shown?? haha..

Steamed Pompret Fish - this fish is as big as you can eat before during the wedding dinner. Yes, it is fresh. Fyi, i dont eat much because personally im not so into those steamed fish.. I prefer it to be deep fry or put some sauce...

Stir fry Frog with Ginger & Spring Onion - this is the "Tin Kai"...i ate the ginger only...because i dont eat "Tin Kai" at all. haha.....Heard the meat is good for our skin. I scare to eat because once i saw how a "Tin Kai" being killed for meat and sell to customer in morning market...very scary when i saw it....

Steamed Chicken - the meat is so tender and soft....Quite nice to eat.

Salted Vegetable Tofu Soup - the soup is salty and sour the same time. We used to called such soup when we outside dinner because it has the function to lower our body heat. hehe...Inside have sliced salted vegetable, cubes of tofu, tomatoes and sliced of meat.

Stir-fry "yin choi" - our green vege. Maybe it is simple but it is not oily which suit to be eaten that time because during CNY, we really taken a lot of those meaty and oily stuffs...Have more green vegetable is good for our health too..

1/2 Suckling Pig - this is crispy and good to dip into the sweet sauce.....but not to say it is quite fattening too...So, each of us get a bite of it is more than enough.

Total bill is around RM295+ (included labor cost for help cooking the prawn n fish) .

Conclusion, we are really grateful and thanks to CS for the big prawn and fish sponsered by him....and we have the chance to taste such a big prawn...We are really full after the meal and we headed back to CS's house for some games....

Hakka Restaurant

Yesterday noon, i had went for a CNY gathering with my friends....consists of me, YC, CY, YT, PRLY and MY. Yeah, suppose we should have 10 persons in a group but due to some of them are not free so they are unable to join. Anyway, we still will have our fun together.

This place is suggested by YC. Heard this restaurant is quite popular. Never worry that you cant find any parking because their parking bay is quite spacious. So what we have that time? They do have have a CNY set but we scare we cant finish the meal..so we choose few dishes with dessert.

Below is the dish for our lunch that day...

our "Yee Sang" - small portion but it is enough for 6 of us..

Fish Maw and Seafood Soup - Erm, still ok...each of us got 1 bowl...Inside have sliced crab meat, pieces of fish maw, crab sticks etc...the soup is thick....best to have it while still hot. If not, it will be watery...

"Lap Mei" Rice - a must dish during CNY. Im not sure what it means...but i think usually those "lap mei" aka waxed meat is available during CNY only. The rice is cooked and mixed with a special soy sauce and lay on top with waxed duck meat, chinese sausages and spring onion....Erm...the rice is quite tasteless to be honest....eventhough the presentation is nice...

"Kam Heung" Prawn - the prawn is quite big and fresh without the shell...so it is easy to eat....slighty spicy and the same time, quite salty too....

Green Vegetable with beancurd skin - erm...the green vegetable is so salty...wonder is the mushroom which cause it or the soy sauce ....The beancurd skin is like deep fry and wrap with something inside....forget what is it...

Red Bean Soup -our hot dessert. It is smooth and not too sweet.

Bunny Bun with Lotus Paste Filling - cute bunny bun....best to be eaten together with the red bean soup....hehe

The total bill cost about RM250++ (6persons).

Secret Recipe

Just now, i was having tea time with my bf at Secret Recipe. Eventhough is already 4pm+ but he still wish to have a full meal..haha...no choice...but im not so feeling good so i juz have a slice of cake because i still need to have dinner with my parent ...

I checked that Secret Recipe do have tea time promotion which is every slice cake you ordered, you can have a free coffee or tea.

So i have went to the counter to check any cake of the day. I feel quite full and i do not wish for any cheese cake or anything which is heavy cream..So i have choose a slice of the Golden Nugget (RM6.50). The cake is quite nice and this is the 1st time i saw in Secret Recipe(maybe i so long din't dine in there, lol...)..To be honest it look like a simple cake and layered with think choc and coated with caramelized nuts....i like the nuts...

And my bf and I share the drink together. It is free for the tea time promotion...He ordered for the Long Black..a coffee which available at there..

And for the meal, he has Tom Yum Kung Noodle (RM16). Slightly spicy and sour with few big prawns, mushrooms and vegetables...

Bad Ass Coffee

Main Entrance

Sourvenirs area

Haha...i know what you are thinking..."bad ass coffee"?? weird right?? When i saw this shop, i also laughed out loud with my bf. But somehow we feel quite special at the same time. What really lead us to go there is their coffee... Im sure everyone favourite is coffee...Every morning, we sure would love to hav a cup of coffee to stay awake during working days..haha..

History of Kona Coffee

Anyway, all our mind is actually to try their coffee. Not aware that they actually do have some other speciality they served to their customer such as pizzas, soups, snacks, spagetti, and steaks....etc...

So here a short meal we have at there...

10% Kona blend coffee (RM6.90) - their speciality coffee but not so strong...

100% Kona coffee (RM12.90) - is super strong taste of coffee..really is "kopi gau gau".....haha...

Spagetti (RM11.90)- forget the full name.. the taste quite good..strong herbs taste but slightly dry...

their XXL donut (RM4) - a large and simple donut with coated sugar....they heat the donut to make it warm and you feel you are eating the donut which just fresh out from the oven...Good to have it together with their coffee...a sip of a bitter coffee with a piece of sweet donut....

To take note, pls make order at the counter as all is self-service...
