Kedai Makanan Laut Sungai Yu Baru

Last weekend, me and a group of friends went to Klang for 1 day trip...aikks...All is guys and left me the only girl in the whole group trip. Wa lau eh...sure all bullied me le...lol...Actually,we have a friend there so it actually very easy for us to find yummy food to eat. haha..All thanks to our friend, CS. He truly friendly and even treat us a bak kut teh lunch...The place is opened by one of his relatives. And whats more?? haha..we purposely tease him by saying we will take a photo of him and we show to their bak kut teh owner next time to get a free meal..haha...hey man, joking only !!

As we knew, Klang is famous for bak kut teh and not to say seafoods too. So during dinner, my friend has recommended us to try at this restaurant. It is somewhere located nearby Bukit Tinggi. haha..im not so sure my location that time but anyhow, as long got people to drive me there, then is enough le...

So, what we have for the day?? Here is some of the pics which i promise to a friend to post it to let her see since that day she unable to join us...haha...Poor le...she unable to taste the crabs..haha...yummy yummy...Wait next time, we go again lol...

Mini Squid in Sweet Sauce - This is the 1st time i ate such a small white squid..so cute. And not to say, tasty too. The squid is fried till quite crispy and stir-fry with the sweet dark sauce. Hey, this is good to eat while enjoying beers...

Grilled Fish - The fish is marinated well in their own seasonings and spices. Then griled it till enough cooked and presented on a banana leaf on below. And the fish is dipped in a sweet and sour sauce...quite nice and not too spicy too...

Stir-fry Glass Noodle - during the dinner, we did not request any rice due to we have order 2 dish of noodle. One is stir-fry mee hun(no pic taken) with mini lala....and 2nd is the glass noodle seafood(pic as above)...very yummy...with lot of ingrediants being cooked together such as prawn, eggs, squids etc...

Salted Egg Crabs - haha...my friend must be very disappointed for not able to join us. After i taken this pic and directly mms to her right at the spot when im eating it..haha...poor her...their crab is fresh and as i say, i love salted eggs, so i love this dish too..

Spicy Crabs ( i guess) - this cooking style of crab is quite spicy to me. Wonder is this "Kong Po" style crabs...hehe...

Coconut Prawn - the soup quite ok. i think it is tom yam soup with prawn...but i never taste the prawn. I being gentle-girl and gave all the prwan to all the guys...haha...nola...is actually because i seldom eat prawn...lazy to peel the shell...based on the pic, the presentation look nice too rite?

Anyway, is a nice dinner eventhough the bill came out not so cheap...because we ordered 3kg of crabs...haha...we have 6 persons altogether and price per person is around RM40 (with 2 large bottle of beers) .

Dolfin Cafe

Last weekend, after my bf finish his work, we decided to have a dinner with his brother & gf. He is quite tired and no mood. We just meet his brother at Cheras and just dine in there. So, we just parked somewhere there and just found this cafe. I have noticed this cafe before when i went to Star Village, Pandah Indah.

For my opinion, the concept is something like those Station One / maybe Old Town Cafe..Foods is normal but price is affordable. I unable to take a pic of the cafe due to that time is quite dark at night...Anyway, check below for our orders:

Ice Lemon Plum Tea (RM6.30-Large) - Quite refreshing drink and im sharing it with my bf. A cold lemon tea with added plum...But even we order it large but yet i feel the glass is small. haha..coz im a "water tanker"...maybe i talked a lot so i need to drink more...lol

Ice Capuccino Blended (RM5.90) - hehe...capuccino blended topped with creams...haha..

Salted Fish Fried Rice (RM4.30) - a simple fried rice with topped with almost like salted fish "powder"...For that price, we dont expect much but to make our stomach full...agree??

Dolphin Special Nasi Lemak (RM5.90) - haha....One thing we only noticed half way eating, that they dont provide us any eggs for our nasi lemak....aikks...But their rendang still ok..wont be that spicy...

Hot Dog with Omelette (RM4.90) - This is quite special. Omelette egg wrapped with 2 hot dog...and added some fries, bread and green vegetables...isit look like breakfast set?? I think so...lol

Baked Rice with Sliced Chicken Chop in Twin Sauce (RM8.90) - the name looks familar rite??Something like in Kim Gary isit?? haha....but price quite surprising affordable. Heard the taste is quite ok. My bf's bro ordered this. But i think it will be quite full after ate this. Twin Sauce means the red is tomato sauce while the white is the potato sauce...

Overrall, we felt that the price is quite ok. Suitable for those who is still studying and looking for more choice of foods at an affordable price.

Restaurant Jin Xuan Hong Kong Sdn Bhd

Last Sat, as my bf was not free, i have decided to treat my family for a dim sum breakfast. I know, i very seldom have time for them during weekends due to i either follow my bf back hometown or being with some frens...sorry for that too...

So we prepare ourself quite early and reach the place around 930am. We do not wish to sit outside which the weather is getting hot that time. So, we decide to take numbers and wait. Luckily, it doesnt take much time and we able to get out table when a customer paying for their bills. The service quite ok. We ordered a pot of tea. And we saw many waiters start putting those dim sum on our table to ask for our choices. Most of the dim sum, im not sure the real name...so hope the photos will speak for me....

Let see....dim sum...yummy yummy...

Har Gao (Prawn Dumpling)- quite fresh...see the prawn inside this transparent dumpling?? this is a must to eat in every dim sum restaurant.

Siew Mai (Meat Dumpling) - another must to have in every dim sum restaurant...haha..

Greeny Siew Mai - not sure..but it just the same like siew mai but in different colour only..

Glutinuos Fried Rice - This is great. My family love it so much. I think they have added a lot of those "lap mei" such as the chinese sausages...which lift up the overrall taste.

Scallop Dumpling - i think on top of it is the large piece of scallaop if not mistaken. haha...quite nice too..and got prawn on below...juz like the "Har Gao" but added scallop...

Steamed Chicken Feet - look like very soft and and juicy. Dont ask me the taste because i dont eat chicken feet....

Steamed Beancurd Skin with Fish Meat (i guess...) - my bro say this is not bad. When i wanna eat, the other pieces already finish by my dad..lol...1 plate just have 2 pcs onli...

"Chee Cheung Fun" - nicely done "chee cheung fun"...which wrapped either with "char siew" or prawn and to be eaten with some light soy sauce( the soy sauce is slightly sweet) .

Fishball - something we can get in other normal dimsum...taste normal....

Shark Fin "Yu Mai" (i guess agian ...lol) - something i havent ate before...it is like mixed of prawn and fish meat being steamed like a "yu mai" and top sprinkled with some "shark fins"...i think is real one..haha..after you all try, let me know!! But taste is quite ok...

Fried Beancurd Skin with Prawn - prawn being wrap with beancurd skin and to be fried till crispy.. This is nice to be dipped and eaten with mayonise.

Fried Prawn Dumpling - once again, prawn being wrap in something like a dumpling and to be fried till crispy...they really have a lot of dishes using prawn...but to be honest their prawn is quite fresh. But for this, i dont like the outer skin. Too hard and not nice to eat...

Stuffed Chili with Fish Meat - nice and you can see, there are quite a lot of fish meat being wrapped in the chili...

Stuffed Brinjal with Fish Meat -erm....fresh and nicely done. not so over cooked...and they are very generous for stuffing quite a lot of the fish meat.... yummy...

Fried Mini Sesame Bun ( "Chin Dui"- canto translation... ) - mini and not too oily. Good to be eaten together as dessert...

Desserts: Mango Pudding /Herbal Jelly - Quite disappointed that they have too little choice for the dessert. But quite nice but my parents say the mango pudding is too sweet. For me is ok since i love sweet things....lol...

Anyway, the total bills is around RM90++ ( 5% Service charge + 5 Govt Tax). Still ok for me as long my parent happy with it.. My little bro sure is the biggest "contributor" in this meal...he ate a lot...almost wan to call for "ta pou" when i say is my treat....haha...

Foh San Dim Sum @ Ipoh

Last weekend while i was in Ipoh, i was so delighted that i will be going to Foh San Restaurant to have dim sum...I heard quite a lot of comment on this restaurant. Guess what, i need to woke up around 6am and prepare myself to reach there around 7am. We are lucky that there is someone already booked a table for us. I heard this restaurant is just newly renovated. No wonder so nice and clean compare the Ming Court which just nearby. Not sure how to compare unless next time i went to Ming Court to try it...hehe..need to book my driver 1 yr in advance. He very busy...who else..my bf lol...

When i reach there, i saw the restaurant interior is quite special from those shop beside here. It looks so high class to me.. haha. And guess what, by the time we reached, even as early as 7am, the place is already full house. Some of the customers are waiting beside some table in hope that those who finish eating can just get their table.

Erm, the place is quite messy and crowded. To be honest, we really dont be able to really eat all the dim sum there because some of the dim sum cart did not pass by around us. Or maybe by the time they pass by, mostly all the dim sum has been taken by other table.

Their special chili sauce. Hey, dont expect they have sweet sauce. Weird too. They also not sure why they dont have the sweet dark sauce.

Here's our dim sum of that day :

Char Siew Pau (BBQ Pork Bun) - quite yummy too. Whats make it special is they did put a type of green vegetable(dono the name in english) which lift up the taste of the pau. But this is also create a dislikeness to certain ppl who hate the smell of the green vege. For me, i can accept it..

Tai Pau (Chef Bun) - haha...not a good choice to have this because after i ate a slice of this bun, i felt so full and no mood to taste other dim sum...I heard their Tai Pau is quite famous there too. Taste is quite ok where there is chicken meat and i saw mushroom too....

Scallap Siew Mai(erm, i think...) - i felt there are some slices of dried scallop on top of it. Or is this another kind of Siew Mai?? Not sure too coz i just busy eating only and other ppl busying ordering...haha..

Black Pepper Siew Mai (Black Pepper Dumpling) - haha..why left one?? Coz by the time all busy eating, i noticed just left one on the table. So, i decided to try it. what to say...black pepper le..sure slightly hot. Lucky i still can accept it...But so far, is the 1st time i tried this.

Siew Mai (Pork Dumpling) - normal siew mai which you can taste outside. But after the photos taken, i dont saw this dim sum anymore..Who finish it? And when i wanna wait for it to come, then those dim sum cart is no where to be seen. haha..

Yong Tau Fu - stuffed fish meat in brinjals & red chilies. I dont see any tau fu. Too bad...

Yu Dan(Fish Ball) - Erm, inside like have some minced vegetables and chilies.

Yu Mai(Steamed Fish Ball) - the Yu Mai looks quite big compare the one we have in KL.

Har Gao (Prawn Dumpling) - During that day, it is the time i ate most Har Gao...do you know why? Because suddenly they ordered too much...about 6 set ( equivalent to 18pcs altogether). Suddenly the table full of Har Gao and all scare of it. The prawn inside is really fresh actually...

Fried Dumpling - Nice and it is still hot when it served. Maybe just take out from the kitchen, i think...And it is dip and eaten together with their mayonise sauce.

Fried Wan Tan - Same as fried dumpling...which served with mayonise sauce.

Steamed Pork with Century Egg - looks yummy. A minced prawn and meat which top up with a slice of century egg. Nice try...

Egg tart - To be honest, their egg tart is quite nice. It is soft, smooth and sweet too. Yummy even im not a fan of egg tart. Good to eat when it is still hot. If possible, i would choose to eat the middle eggs and without the skin tart...haha...

Chee Cheung Fun - erm, taste is acceptable. It something normal but i felt the "chee cheung fun" quite thick..Should it be slightly transparent and it would be good. Got vegetable too. In KL, very hardly see green vegetable on a plate of those "chee cheung fun".

Porridge - We have order 2 types of porridge which is Fish Porridge & Pork Meat Porridge(if not mistaken)...Quite nice and some people prefer to have porridge in the morning. But i just taste a small spoon only...
Just wish one day, i could go there again to try more other dim sum...
