Foh San Dim Sum @ Ipoh

Last weekend while i was in Ipoh, i was so delighted that i will be going to Foh San Restaurant to have dim sum...I heard quite a lot of comment on this restaurant. Guess what, i need to woke up around 6am and prepare myself to reach there around 7am. We are lucky that there is someone already booked a table for us. I heard this restaurant is just newly renovated. No wonder so nice and clean compare the Ming Court which just nearby. Not sure how to compare unless next time i went to Ming Court to try it...hehe..need to book my driver 1 yr in advance. He very busy...who else..my bf lol...

When i reach there, i saw the restaurant interior is quite special from those shop beside here. It looks so high class to me.. haha. And guess what, by the time we reached, even as early as 7am, the place is already full house. Some of the customers are waiting beside some table in hope that those who finish eating can just get their table.

Erm, the place is quite messy and crowded. To be honest, we really dont be able to really eat all the dim sum there because some of the dim sum cart did not pass by around us. Or maybe by the time they pass by, mostly all the dim sum has been taken by other table.

Their special chili sauce. Hey, dont expect they have sweet sauce. Weird too. They also not sure why they dont have the sweet dark sauce.

Here's our dim sum of that day :

Char Siew Pau (BBQ Pork Bun) - quite yummy too. Whats make it special is they did put a type of green vegetable(dono the name in english) which lift up the taste of the pau. But this is also create a dislikeness to certain ppl who hate the smell of the green vege. For me, i can accept it..

Tai Pau (Chef Bun) - haha...not a good choice to have this because after i ate a slice of this bun, i felt so full and no mood to taste other dim sum...I heard their Tai Pau is quite famous there too. Taste is quite ok where there is chicken meat and i saw mushroom too....

Scallap Siew Mai(erm, i think...) - i felt there are some slices of dried scallop on top of it. Or is this another kind of Siew Mai?? Not sure too coz i just busy eating only and other ppl busying ordering...haha..

Black Pepper Siew Mai (Black Pepper Dumpling) - haha..why left one?? Coz by the time all busy eating, i noticed just left one on the table. So, i decided to try it. what to say...black pepper le..sure slightly hot. Lucky i still can accept it...But so far, is the 1st time i tried this.

Siew Mai (Pork Dumpling) - normal siew mai which you can taste outside. But after the photos taken, i dont saw this dim sum anymore..Who finish it? And when i wanna wait for it to come, then those dim sum cart is no where to be seen. haha..

Yong Tau Fu - stuffed fish meat in brinjals & red chilies. I dont see any tau fu. Too bad...

Yu Dan(Fish Ball) - Erm, inside like have some minced vegetables and chilies.

Yu Mai(Steamed Fish Ball) - the Yu Mai looks quite big compare the one we have in KL.

Har Gao (Prawn Dumpling) - During that day, it is the time i ate most Har Gao...do you know why? Because suddenly they ordered too much...about 6 set ( equivalent to 18pcs altogether). Suddenly the table full of Har Gao and all scare of it. The prawn inside is really fresh actually...

Fried Dumpling - Nice and it is still hot when it served. Maybe just take out from the kitchen, i think...And it is dip and eaten together with their mayonise sauce.

Fried Wan Tan - Same as fried dumpling...which served with mayonise sauce.

Steamed Pork with Century Egg - looks yummy. A minced prawn and meat which top up with a slice of century egg. Nice try...

Egg tart - To be honest, their egg tart is quite nice. It is soft, smooth and sweet too. Yummy even im not a fan of egg tart. Good to eat when it is still hot. If possible, i would choose to eat the middle eggs and without the skin tart...haha...

Chee Cheung Fun - erm, taste is acceptable. It something normal but i felt the "chee cheung fun" quite thick..Should it be slightly transparent and it would be good. Got vegetable too. In KL, very hardly see green vegetable on a plate of those "chee cheung fun".

Porridge - We have order 2 types of porridge which is Fish Porridge & Pork Meat Porridge(if not mistaken)...Quite nice and some people prefer to have porridge in the morning. But i just taste a small spoon only...
Just wish one day, i could go there again to try more other dim sum...
