Nadeje Cafe - Malacca

Main Entrance

Nadeje - The Origin of Mille Crepe

This year, i have quite a full birthday..haha...As i mentioned earlier in my blog, i have been to Malacca. I get to know online that there are a quite famouse cafe serving nice mille crepe...haha...I havent really taste it before in KL... But i heard Food Foundry @ SS 17 do serve this kind of cake..I think i would go there to check on it one day...

Anyhow for the Nadeje Cafe....The cafe is located at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. Supposed I reached there on sat evening and the all the cake was sold out. So disappointing and I asked my bf to bring me there agaian the next day and finally the cake is available...yes...!!

There are few flavours to choose from such as Choc Banana, Tiramisu, Strawberry Choc , Green Tea etc....All the cakes are just so yummy till I wish I could have it all...And I dont think I can bring back to KL due to I scare it might get melted. haha...sorry my friends, next time we go there again to try it...ok??

Let's get back to the mille crepe..mille crepe is actually so called a French cake made of many crepe layers. “Mille” means “a thousand” in French. You could see from the cake fold layer by layer of crepe and become a piece of dessert.

I have ordered 2 flavours of mille crepe.

Original mille crepe (RM8.50) - orginal flavour of crepe...actually i felt this is the best....haha...each layer folded with vanila cream if not mistaken...nicely done and not so sweet at all...

Tiramisu mille crepe (RM8.50) - slightly richer taste from the original mille crepe. Good to have it together with coffee...

Yaki Don (RM4.80) - surprisingly the portion is quite big . The udon is cooked with some chicken chunks. And it is served together with a soup and a salad. The salad is quite nice...it is the spiral spagetti....mixed with those salad dressing. The price is quite affordable.

As for drinks, i have an Iced Apple Tea (RM5.30) which is refreshing for the day...even the early morning is raining...but i uite enjoy an icy drink....

And for my bf, he had a cup of Hot Latte (RM6.80)....something which can warm his days....

Total bills end up at RM33.90 but i felt happy with their cake. I would hope to go there for their cake again...Make sure you go there early....

Foods @ Jonker Street, Malacca

For your info, I just back from Malacca trip. From what we know Malacca is a historical place to visit but it is also a place which full of many foods to eat....And im quite in love with the food there especially the cendol...yummy...with lots of gula melaka pls...haha..

Im sure most of us would know about the Jonker Street. So, that time Im was quite hungry searching foods for dinner. Im quite bored with those chicken rice so i begin to walked around the place and begin my searching...So, in here, lets me introduced few eating stalls which i found at night market at Jonker Street Malacca...

Popiah - along the Jonker street, you will found a movable stall selling popiah which opened by an old man but speak quite good english too..haha.. Compare the popiah which i have in KL, this uncle did have some other ingrediants such as beansprout, beaten eggs, green vegetable etc... I did saw him sprinkled some oil after all the ingrediant put onto the popiah skin..and nicely wrapped it...The taste is quite nice actually even the ingrediant is simple. And it is still warm...My bf and I share a roll of it...(RM2 per roll).

After that, suddenly we saw a stall in between the a junction along the Jonker street. Actually we are attracted by the fresh clams aka "si ham"....Suppose we should be going to a place to have those clams which quite famous nearby there but we unable to found it...So we lazy to search and just have it here.

Those clams is cleaned and them begin to boil it for few minutes.

Each table is placed with a bucket. This is for the convinience to throw those clams shell...

All the clams is dip together in a special sauce.. the sauce , if not mistaken consists of peanuts, lime juice, chili and "har ko" sauce...nice and refreshing...

Then we have a normal fried keuw tiaw with clams....It may not be the best fried keuw tiaw...hehe...normal ingrediants like clams, beaten eggs and bean sprout...The taste is something like our mother would cook...hehe...nice try too...

Besides that, i have the mixed rojak style...which consist of fried tau fu, fried beancurd skin and fish paste...Same it is mixed together with peanuts, chilies sauce and the "har ko" sauce...I love this actually...The sauce making me feeling to have it more...

As for the drinks, we have the sour plum drink and the cincau...

This are the few of them which we can have during the night market at Jonker Street...You may go there to try yourself to feel it...But Im just full to try more..Maybe next time will blog more of this...

Nong & Jimmy - Thai Seafood BBQ

This is one of the Thai food that my friend at Cheras keep on recommend to me but im not sure the place so i never really think of going there with my bf. Anyway, last weekend, my bf was working at Terengganu and i asked my bro to drove me there together with my parents. Before getting there, i have goggle-ing the map in order to get there without getting lost.

Anyway, we reach there quite early and we saw the place is getting crowded. It is indeed quite popular place. In front of the restaurant, there is a BBQ place where i saw many seafoods being grilled at there. Then there is some worker who is doing the fried mini "kuih" aka "Yau Char Kwai"....looks tasty too...But that time i did not ordered that "kuih", because my bro dont wan it. When you are in front of that place, the place is warm and smelly ....

We found a table and begin to take our seat. Then a girl came to ask for take order for drinks...Pls take note, the drinks are pay separately with the food bills. Drinks that they served is like soft drinks, "leung sui", coconut water etc....
After a while, a guy came and begin to take our orders. Their service is quite fast and our food did not take so long to reach even we did saw many customers there. Anyway, here are the photos taken...

The eating place..

2 types of thai chilies sauce - with lemon + garlic (left) which make it slightly watery... (right) original thai sauce...

Mango salad (RM9) - overall the dish is not spicy. Slices of mango mixed together peanuts and some chilies padi..mixed together with the fish oil sauce and lemon juice...on top sprinkled with some dried cuttle fish....

Fried Seafood Cake (RM10) - something like a blended of fish and prawn meat and make it like a round shape like ball....this is nice to eat and dip with the Thai sauce... whoille family love this actually..the meat looks fresh and tasty...

Stir-fry Kai Lan with Salted Fish (RM9) - simple green vegetable stir fry with salted fish....wish to have more salted fish then it should be good...hehe

Claypot Tom Yam Seafood (RM20) - The soup is quite tasty but slightly salty to my parents. Inside there are some button mushrooms, prawns, squids etc...overall best to drink it while still hot.
Steamed Fish in Thai-style (RM30) - Erm, the sauce is slightly spicy. Not sure how to describe it...the sauce is spicy but at the same time also sweet and little bit sour..haha..The fish is fresh for sure...so we can finish it all...

Grilled squids (RM 14) - my parents did not like crabs much so we decided to go with grilled squid. Erm, ths squid is actually quite tasteless...I think they just clean the squid and grilled it originally...Anyway, it goes well with the chili sauce given...

So, there the end of the meal. Total bill is RM98.40 ( included 4 rice and 4 pcs of wet towels)....

Foodies agian.... That day im quite busy due to i need to attend a wedding dinner at night. But the noon time, i stay with my bf to have a meal with him..haha...Just to have some time with him even we dint talk much..but we always fighting to play with his iphone games...that's the fun we always have...trying to beat each other score and ended up the battery always running low.

Anyway, we went to Leo's Cafe at SS2 due to there are equipped with wifi and that time, there are not much customers so we found a table to sit. And another good thing, the cafe got air-con. Sometimes very hard to find a place to eat especially during lunch time and that time is the most hot and sweaty...

While my bf busy downloading games and i begin to make order...sometimes my bf very lazy and browse the menu a while and just ask me to help him order this and that....here our meal...

Hot Lemon Tea(RM3.50) for me ; Leo's Cham Iced (RM3.50) for him....

Buttermilk Seafood HK Yee Mee (RM8.90)- He saw wrong thing..suppose he thought he is ordering those normal claypot yee mee...but when the dish served...it really look like yee mee but different gravy...is those like cheesy/ buttery gravy instead of egg gravy...so surprise...haha...his diet plan totally spoiled that day...ended eat up a more heavy meal...is a good try but really need to eat while it is still hot ..if not, you will feel the gravy like too sticky to put into your mouth...

Triple Decker Sandwich (RM7.90) - never expect it to be quite big slice of bread. Triple slice of bread with ham, sliced tomatoes, eggs and dressing with mayonise etc....and served together with fries...super full..i never had so much bread in a day before...

After the meal, we continue our iphone game....haha...

Weekend is always a day to be with my loved one...Once a while we would feel bored not sure what to do...As usual, we sure have meals together for whole weekend unless friends invite us to join them...We have a light breakfast that day. Not sure what to have, we just went into Pappa Rich without much thinking and lazy to walk more...

Weather is super hot. My bf had order a iced coffee....looks quite "kao" in term of the color ....Look like nice to drink...

I spotted their menu have Soya Milk with brown sugar...and so i just ordered it...a warm soya milk ...not so sweet....

Once a while, i felt my bf and I sure have the same taste...Both tend to like spicy food. But he likes it more... He ordered himself the mee with dry curry...It looks simple with a a piece of chicken.....

And as for me, i have asam laksa. It look like quite same with 2 pieces of chicken whereby my gravy look more watery...and i have fresh clams and some beancurd....Quite tasty actually....the bowl is quite large and i almost cant finish it...I let my bf have some...keke...

For extra, my bf ordered a piece of steamed bun with roasted coconut filling....this is quite surprising us...when we saw in the menu, there are a lot of coconut filling given but the one we have...haha...so little....

Anyway, we went back with a full stomach till night time, we just have porridge only...

Pee Nong Restaurant - Thai Food

Yesterday, my friend and I has went to Pandan Indah to have a nice Thai food which recommended by Suki. And this is the 1st time since after my secondary school, that I finally met CKL. Quite miss her. Erm, Yup, she came to meet me and we sat in the same car and chat a lot. After a long but no conclusion conversation, i found out that she changed a lot , especially the way she think. Anyway, wish her all the best.

So get back to the food...So, the place is slightly located behind the Fei Por Chicken Rice Restaurant. Erm, I heard that there are few Thai restaurant at there.Should be easy to find. That time I was late, so my friend already made the order . I just order for my drink...

I have a warm plain water...haha...not that plain actually. I think it is boiled with pandan leave which casuing the water so fragrant.

Stir fry green vege - this is quite spicy. Green vegetable cooked with spicy belacan and chilies ....

Clear Tom Yum Soup - The soup is clear. There are quite some ingrediant such as prawns, abalone mushrooms, big clams, etc...Heard my friend say, they are asking for less spicy. But yet i still feel spicy as i drink more..haha..But is taste good. Wish they give us more of it..

Stir-fry mixed vegetable with asparagus - This is not spicy at all and suit for everyone. This dish finish fast..haha...That fork is purposely display by MY when i trying to take a good picture of the dish...

Deep-fry squids - the squid is dipped into a thick batter and fry till golden. Crispy outside and soft inside. They served together with 2 types of Thai sauce.

Some photos was not taken as i was busy chatting with other friends. The other 2 dishes we did order is the Thai steamed fish and the grilled lamb. Both is nicely done but i dont eat the grilled lamb.

Tim Pan Gor Gor @ SS2

Erm, sorry for not updating my blog lately. Erm, yeah, lately quite busy with work. Then I have attended a friend wedding and have a buffet dinner at House of Buffet (HOB) to celebrate Mothers Day...Sorry, no picture for the HOB because we are quite disappointed with the food there. Some of the food there are left to be empty for quite some time and are limited choice. Anyhow, promise my bro, will bring whole family together with my bf to have Tenji buffet soon. Slightly expensive but better ...

This is why I forgeting that I did have dessert at SS2 "Tim Pan Gor Gor"

Desserts time !!..

Mango Pancake...ohh...a huge dairy milk cream with a slice of mango wrapped with a yellow skin like a ball..At 1st we thought the cream is ice cream ...who know after cutted it, is a fattening milk dairy cream, and we give up and "ta pou" for my bro to eat....Erm,,,he like it so much. He say the durian flavour more nice...

Glutinuous Rice Ball in Ginger soup - something that i would have as hot dessert. The rice ball is either peanut / black sesame flavour ..If the ginger soup is more spicy, then is would be better.

Red Bean Soup - another hot dessert for that day. Nothing much special on this. I like it too due to the way it is...

Beside all the above, they still served a lot of different kind of dessert. And some is a mix of each. Example, black sesame + red bean......or maybe peanut + tau fu fa...

Anyway, if you really think of dessert, just drop by and have a sweet moments there...

Hope you enjoy it too.

P/s: besides SS2, they also have an outlet at Kepong....check here
