Foods @ Jonker Street, Malacca

For your info, I just back from Malacca trip. From what we know Malacca is a historical place to visit but it is also a place which full of many foods to eat....And im quite in love with the food there especially the cendol...yummy...with lots of gula melaka pls...haha..

Im sure most of us would know about the Jonker Street. So, that time Im was quite hungry searching foods for dinner. Im quite bored with those chicken rice so i begin to walked around the place and begin my searching...So, in here, lets me introduced few eating stalls which i found at night market at Jonker Street Malacca...

Popiah - along the Jonker street, you will found a movable stall selling popiah which opened by an old man but speak quite good english too..haha.. Compare the popiah which i have in KL, this uncle did have some other ingrediants such as beansprout, beaten eggs, green vegetable etc... I did saw him sprinkled some oil after all the ingrediant put onto the popiah skin..and nicely wrapped it...The taste is quite nice actually even the ingrediant is simple. And it is still warm...My bf and I share a roll of it...(RM2 per roll).

After that, suddenly we saw a stall in between the a junction along the Jonker street. Actually we are attracted by the fresh clams aka "si ham"....Suppose we should be going to a place to have those clams which quite famous nearby there but we unable to found it...So we lazy to search and just have it here.

Those clams is cleaned and them begin to boil it for few minutes.

Each table is placed with a bucket. This is for the convinience to throw those clams shell...

All the clams is dip together in a special sauce.. the sauce , if not mistaken consists of peanuts, lime juice, chili and "har ko" sauce...nice and refreshing...

Then we have a normal fried keuw tiaw with clams....It may not be the best fried keuw tiaw...hehe...normal ingrediants like clams, beaten eggs and bean sprout...The taste is something like our mother would cook...hehe...nice try too...

Besides that, i have the mixed rojak style...which consist of fried tau fu, fried beancurd skin and fish paste...Same it is mixed together with peanuts, chilies sauce and the "har ko" sauce...I love this actually...The sauce making me feeling to have it more...

As for the drinks, we have the sour plum drink and the cincau...

This are the few of them which we can have during the night market at Jonker Street...You may go there to try yourself to feel it...But Im just full to try more..Maybe next time will blog more of this...
