Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh

Erm, quite some time i have been asking people where got dry bak kut teh....I heard there is one at Subang and this time i found it at Puchong....Actually i saw in the food tv show before but so far dont have the chance to go there due to my bf say is quite far for him to fetch me there. But after few persuasion from me, haha...he decided to bring me go...He also wanna eat it because my bro say is quite special about their dry bak kut teh too...

So, we started to travel and plan to go there to have breakfast before headed back to IOI for some window shopping. We reached there around 11am+ but the place is already crowded. We are lucky that we able to get a place very soon. Once i saw people pay the bill, i quickly step beside the table waiting they went away. Quite paiseh too but no choice unless u want to be gentleman at there....then, i think 1 hour you also cant eat it....somemore my bf is quite impatient sometimes...

all the customers.....busy eating...can you imagine that place is full with people and standing customers who is waiting for table....

Once we get our table, a lady boss already come to ask what we wanna order. She ask us fast fast order, if not later more customers, then our food might be served late...So we already know what we want, so we have order 1 dry and 1 soup bak kut teh. We also have a green vegetable as side dishes and 2 rice...

self-service chinese tea....we need to put our own tea leaf and hot water. Hot water is just nearby us only....Actually, is all same even you have it in Klang...

Simple Stir-fry Green Vegetable

The Dry Bak Kut Teh in pot...inside there is pork, thin sliced of ladyfingers, dried chilies and dried cuttlefish...all stir-fry together with dark sauce and it taste great....I think it taste good due to they put a lot of dried cuttle fish....and guess what... all this is done by a young boy...hardly imagine it too..

The Bak Kut Teh in soup - we have ask for mixed pork and got those beancurd skin....The soup is quite thick and nice...Quite flavouring..hehe...and we got ask for soup refill...is free...just ask some of the staff there to help you refill...

I think i would go there for 2nd time...Anyone wanna join me?? What about my group of friends...?? We have not been gather together lately for a nice meal..hehe..I cant wait for you all to date me sometimes..hehe..my bf wont jeolous as long he can go and eat together...lol

Ampang Tradition Yong Tau Foo Restaurant

Due to we are spoilt with choices around SS2, PJ, we still undecided what to eat for dinner last weekend, so we just packed our car and whichever restaurant near us then we just step inside. And here we are in this restaurant....hehe..My bf told me, during lunch time, this place is parked with customers. So hardly we can drop by there to try it. But during night time, i felt customers is lesser. Maybe not much people love to have yong tau foo that time...

The place look simple in term of interior. Most of the food they served is published and hang on board to the side wall...But no price is shown on the menu and we are unsure of price until i saw in a corner there is a white board stating that a piece of yong tau foo cost RM0.90. Wonder the price got update or not. hehe..but i think you may ask the waiter for details about this.

Beside yong tau foo, they do have served fish, stir-fry vegetables, chicken wings, meat dumpling aka "Sui Gao" and fish ball too...

So, since is a place for yong tau foo, so we have ordered a mix of 15pcs++ which includes stuffed meat in chili, brinjals, bittergourd, white and brown tau fu.

Some other includes which is deep fried.....the "tau fu pok" is super crispy...we love it so much...

A bowl of "sui gao" which is meat dumpling in soup (5 pcs) and 4 pcs of fish balls...

You can have all this with their "chee cheung fun" or rice...

Overrall, the meal is quite ok.. I think you all dont have to go far to Ampang but yet you still can have it nearby your housing areas....

Hometown Hainan Coffee

I bet most of you all heard of Old Town, Old Taste, Old Friend ...and bla bla ....of such cafe like rite?? haha...The most famous of all should be the Old Town. To be honest, i have been there most of the time if we have some friends gathering. It should be a quite convinient and easy to be found in every areas of our houses..hehe..

And this time, what caught our attention is "Hometown Hainan Coffee"...haha...At 1st we are quite hesitate to go inside but we dont mind have a try ...hehe..I think this is a newly open outlet whereby the place look nice and clean. There is a corner furnished with sofa, cushions, magazines and few PC for internet surfing. That time when i reached there, that place already taken by a group of family...looking like is their family gathering and they enjoy so much(unable to get a nice shot because the group of family thought im taking their picture, lol)
In the other corner, we are sitting nearby the counter where the food and beverages is being served. We were given menu to look in. Actually we already done with our lunch but we just went for a drink only...haha...thats y all of you all know why i can increase my weight so easily lol...

Below is our orders:

Hot Lemon Tea - not enugh lemony feel...hehe..

Crispy Kaya and Butter Bread - i like their kaya...taste nice...

Egg Toast Single - a slice of white bread dipped into beaten eggs and pan-fry till golden. My bf so surprise such bread is served in the cafe...actually he feel hungry and wanna eat only and give so much reasons wanna try it... lol....quite nice and not too oily...The bread is soft with covered with a thin layer of eggs...and it served with some pandan kaya...

Hainan Coffee - my bf super huge fan for coffee..everytime had meal, sure need a cup of coffee to try...addicted to it already...hehe...I did get 1 pack of Starbuck coffee for him as gift...so he could make it at home...

Ipoh Road Yong Tow Foo - Kepong Branch

Last weekend, we went for a simple dinner nearby Kepong. My bf say lets go for "yong tau fu". The shop is very nearby to his cousin's house. His cousin is not around so we have to dine it ourselves..hehe...

Never worry as the shop we are going this time is having a lot of branch everywhere. And now in Metro Prima Kepong too...I think the shop has been established for some time because the interior is slighlty old.

We make our orders and my bf want to have it with rice. While, i dont feel like having rice at night. Below is the photos taken:

Fried Fu Chuk stuffed with fish paste & fried dumpling

A normal yong tau fu we may found everywhere which includes stuffed fish paste in chili, brinjal and bitter gourd....the gravy is quite appetizing...maybe im too hungry...

A bowl of soup with 4 fish balls - the soup very clear and the texture is very "QQ"..... not sure how they do it.

Overrall, the food served there is fresh. Im sure you can find one of the their branch nearby your areas...Hope you enjoy it..

Delicious @ 1Utama

Last Fri noon, i have gathering some of my friends to celebrate Paul's bday in advance. I understand he is quite busy sometimes, so since that day is public holiday for all, so is just a nice day to gather out together. Tat time CS and his wife is slightly late so me, my bf, yc, paul, joe, ant and kev already started to order as some of them is hungry.

The place is nice whereby all the interior is in soft color. In front of the cafe, there a big chairs with few cushion for the customer to wait while they will be served shortly or waiting for any table to be vacant...The place we are sitting is beside the main door. But is started to get warm as on top of the ceiling, there are a lot of spotlights which make us feel hot. That time, the cafe is quite full house. And our group is quite big, so we got no choice but to sit there.

Anyway, we dont bother much about this and we started to enjoy our food while waiting for CS. Hereby the foods we have tried at there...

Hot Honey Lemon
- quite a big cup compare what i have outside. Honey is separated in a different small jar beside the cup...

Root Beer Float
- a very different root beer float..."blended" everything.... Paul & YC ordered it...taste still acceptable.

Tall Latte
- my bf having it, no comment from him....but i like the biscuit...very nice to eat.

Coco Banana
-aikks..cant imagine it...but Ant say the drink very rich with banana...haha..i will never drink this...because im just so so with banana..haha..

Caeser Salad
this is super delicious. We all enjoy it...inside hav grilled chicken breast, cheese, turkey bacon and green vegetable...and heard Joe say got "ikan masin" too. but not those chinese salted fish oh....i dont able to taste it because there is not much "ikan masin" given..keke..

Wild Mushroom Soup
-actually im never like mushroom...I just tasted a spoonful of it only...good to be have it while still hot. very creamy and "mushroomy"...a piece of garlic bread is served together..

Seafood Spagetthi - forget the real name. but taste is good.

Smoked Salmon Spagetthi
- for this, the taste is quite bland. Just the salmon has some salty taste but not the dish..might be need to mix and eat together only it will make the whole dish nicer...

Chunky chips
- sliced of potatoes being deep fried and served with the white sauce..look like mayo to me...forget the name, Ant told me before..haha...but i still prefer to dip into chili sauce..more tasty...

Fried Calamari
- this is truly disappointed YC, because she never expected it will be like this. Too bland and tasteless..but yet we still finish it..no waste lol...

Mango & Crab Meat Salad
-something like the Thai mango salad whereby mangoes being sliced thinly and mix together with some cherry tomatoes and mashed crab meat..bottom is like those green leaf..not sure what it called...

Fish & Chips -nothing much different from outside....

Four Cheese Macaroni
- never have this alone...the whole dish is covered with lots of cheese. Scary....and very fattening...haha...taste wise still ok...should be yummy but make sure having it while still warm...if not the cheese will be harden...

Our Dessert - Chocolate Banana Cake
the serving size is quite big and quite different too. the topping is just like a chocolate bar. Not like those cake cream....because is slightly harder than normal. Taste is ok but never have it alone. Because you will feel very full. Each of just take a bite of it onli...

Overrall, the food is quite nice. I hope one day i could go there to try more of their desserts....but the place is slightly pricey..So i just can go on special occasion only...

Nature's Vegetarian Restaurant

Ever wonder hows a vegetarian dim sum will be?? haha...surprisingly, it taste good and not so "meaty" too..haha..It look the same like those normal dim sum we have outside but different ingrediants is being used. This is the 1st time we are having vegetarian morning dim sum. All thanks to Grace for bring us to there. As you, Grace is a vegetarian and i think without her, i dont think i can taste so much of many nice vegetarian foods..haha...

Last Fri was public holidays and i have asked most of my ex-colleague to try vegetarian dim sum. It is not easy to date everyone as some of them are super busy for no reasons..haha...whoever understand it..then is you le..haha...So, that time, there are 8 persons altogether: Me & bf, Grace, Wang, XY & Fred and Alice & Ken. haha...So long, we never been together like this.

Anyway, we reached at the place around 9am sharp but yet the restaurant is like just open. We saw their business hour is 9am for normal day while public holiday is 8am start business but i saw some staffs is just walking in and started to preparing thing.. Erm, quite not a good image as we as the customers need to wait for about 15min for those staff to prepare...haha..

After that we take our seat. The interior is quite oldies with many Buddha statue being placed on the wall with some chinese painting and writing...all table are in marble instead of wooden and making you feel like in the ancient time. Then we started to browse the menu. We have a very daring request that time. haha...guess what? We all together decided to tell the waitress to take out whatever dim sum which on the menu for us. Yes, we have try most of the dim sum in that shop...haha...surprise le?? At 1st we thought we cant finish it but yet, but slowly we done all.

Sorry for being lazy. U know what, at 1st, im very excited to take the photos of each dim sum but when suddenly all the dim sum load to our table, i just take 1 shot of it and start eating lio. haha...All of us is too hungry lio. Anyway, here are the photos taken...sorry for not being to introduce all the dim sum..hehe...if interested, just try it yourself there...hehe..

Our chopsticks & plate...

our Pu 'Er Tea...look like "fu cha"

the chili & sweet sauce

Fried Popiah...im not sure i got eat this or not...

Vegetarian Shark Fins Dumpling
the taste of the soup not so suit us because the herbal taste quite strong....

Fried Sesame Bun - tasty as it is still hot and fresh...
Gold Fish Steamed Sweet Potato
hehe..sweet potatoes being mashed, wrapped into a bread skin and deep fry...the shape like the gold fish...lol

something like mashed yam inside...i dont know who finish it...as i dont see any trace after i taken this photo..haha..

This is nice..inside is like cubes of apple with salad dressing...quite nice...as inside is soft n sweet but outside is crispy...

Something like popiah..i saw thin sliced of mushrooms and carrots...Do i ate this?? i wonder...too many dim sum on table that time...

their signature dish - Fried Noodle - wow...a simple but nice dish...you should tried it...

and lastly, the whole table full of dim sum...haha...very grand le....lol
