Ccozi & Friends - Korean Street Food

Whats actually is Korean Street Food?? Im not sure and this time, i have tried it. And whats more?? I can taste the Korean food with the view of Sunway Lagoon eh..lol...haha...From the restaurant window, you can see the whole and famous Sunway Lagoon. You see the themepark, the lagoon, many peoples swimming and playing around. They just look tiny in your eyes but you can see clearly the beautiful view.

My bf did bring me to a BBQ Korean before but we just curious about Korean street food. So, after a tired window shopping, we drop by to this restaurant and run through the menu. The place is not so big. Especially the round table. Actually kinda small too. Not suit for big group of people gathering. But as it say, is a street food, so we just need to fill our tummy and pay it and just walk. We wont be there long unless, you really wish too...

We run through the menu a while. There are many new thing we can found there. Actually they offered quite a range of foods such as Korean pancakes, Joomobao(rice ball), old school boy lunch box(in a cute square tin box-cute), Bibimbap(hot stone bowl), Triangle Gimbap, light snacks, Combo meals and also wide range of drinks / desserts to choose from...

Combo Meal Set B (RM14) - a "wok" of noodle - Seafood Spicy (can be choosen from menu section) + an original triangle kimbap + Kimchi + free flow of korean tea. The seafood noodle is nice and spicy too. Inside consist of prawns, chunk of squids, vegetables and "lala".

Triangle Kimbap - a simple rice with mixed of kimchi gravy and wrap with a large seaweed in a triangle size. It looks like japanese style.

Korean Tea - Speaking of the tea, erm, hard to describe oh. It look like the taste of the rice but it is yellowish in color. Weird....But honestly, 1st dip sure hard to accept but after longer, you feel, it actually ok and i think can keep fit if drink this often as it around same as green tea.

Korean Pancake (Seasoned Vegetable) - Erm, i think some old people will know how to make this pancake which chinese people called is "Chung Tau Beng - Onion Pancake". This is Korean style with added more vegetable beside onion and it is nice to dip it into the soy sauce which has been served together. Simple and nice...

Korean Ice Kacang - erm, the different with our ice kacang arr...i think they have added mix canned fruits, nata jelly, and on top full of red beans and a spoon of ice cream . below is the syrup...kinda sweet too. 2 wafer biscuits too make the dessert more interesting...

Nasi Lemak @ Paramount

Eh...im not sure why peoples love to drop by here to have their nasi lemak. I dont see their mamak name nor any signboard stating it. Their stall is located just behind the Maybank at Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya. I did passed by few times and many students or residents who stay there sure will eat there or maybe "bungkus". Remember, i think they just start business after 6pm if not mistaken. I did passed by in the morning but they do not open. Erm, its like a normal mamak selling mee goreng etc. But i think they are more business in selling nasi lemak. I saw the Indian guy keep frying the chicken and then one guy busy hits the egg on the hot large pan.

All the seats mostly is on the roadside. So careful while sitting n eating there. When i was guided to a table, i saw most of the customers is ordering nasi lemak and with extra sambal. So my bf decided to order 2 Nasi Lemak Ayam(RM4.50/ plate). If you do not want the fried chicken, then you may opt for the nasi lemak biasa(if not mistaken RM2.50 / plate).

Erm, i think the portion is small to my bf. haha...i have give some of my rice to him too...Erm, the chicken is crispy but like not enough "rasa". But it will be nice when u dip into your sambal. haha...1st spoon on the sambal, i felt it is kinda hot but after longer time, i dont feel the hot and you will feel you enjoy eating it with the rice. I think the sambal is the one which make the whole nasi lemak so tasty and so many peoples come to eat it.

While for drink, we just ordered a simple , Teh 'o' ice and Teh 'o' Limau Ice.

Little Taiwan

Welcome to Taiwan....

hehe...I juz went there with 2 of my friends. Suppose we thought we would have Purple Cane Restaurant at The Garden but the end, we changed the place. Little Taiwan is located nearby the GSC Midvalley. Actually, it is recommended by my friends saying the drinks is nice there...So we just give it a try.

Before that i have actually taken my dinner. So i just order a drink only. My 2 other friends will be eating.
Peach Rainbow Crystal(RM6.90) - Nice name... It is like a ice peach tea added with many many jellies ...In the menu, i felt like so "juicy" ....but when the drink is serve, it like nothing special....kinda disappointed. But at least, i still finish it fast due to im really thirsty...lol

Hot Milk Tea (RM3.90) - I think it suppose to be same like other milk tea we can get in a cafe. My friend did not give any comment on it.

Hazelnut Red Milk Tea (RM5.90) - My other friend say this is nice. This is the 2nd time he drink this. If anyone love hazelnut, i think he/ she will love this drink too.

Little Taiwan Claypot Lao Su Fun (RM10.90) - It is a simple stir-fry"lao su fun" in a claypot with bean sprout, slices of mushroom, and taiwan sausages. It is little bit dry but at least my friend love the sausages.

Braised Pork Noodle with Spice(RM10.90) - Erm, i think i wont order this dish as it is kinda oily for me. But my friend say it is nice to eat. Suit for his taste. It is a mee soup with some vegetables and slices of braised meat.

Overall, the food and drink there are ok and price is reasonable. At least should be more healthy than eating fast food.

Vietnam Kitchen

Erm, time for vietnamese food le.. This time, me and my bf is bringing my parents to this restaurant. They haven't tried before so it a good to try it. Erm, the vietnamese food is actually not so spicy but they do maintain the their own spices. What i knew, they are famous for their spring rolls. Erm, my parents like their white rice more...haha...funny rite? But their rice really nice. Soft and nice.

Since we are going for dinner, so we have order few dishes. We have order the Fresh Prawn Roll (RM6.90). The spring roll is wrapped with vegetables such as carrots/ cucumbers and the fresh prawn which once you eaten, you feel it is healthy. Erm, im sure this really low-fat and good to eat for keep fit. haha....the spring roll skin is so transparent that we can see through the greeny inside.

Fish Fillet with 3 Special Sauce(RM18) - Erm, hardly imagine what kind of sauce they are mentioned. haha...at 1st, i thought is 3 types of sauce was cook with the fish fillet but when the dish was presented to us, I saw it is like a dark soy with some spicy sauce...Erm but it is nice to eat too.

Stir Fried Lotus Root(RM11)- Suppose this is a nice combination of vegetable that all of us would love it. My dad even cook it before and i love it so much. But when we ordered it at Vietnam Kitcken, the sauce has been changed..haha..it like cooking with tomato sauce. Maybe we cant accepted it.

Seafood Taufu(Rm11)- This is the taufu which mix with some fish paste if not mistaken. Because the taufu is nice to be eaten just like a fish ball but also maintain the soft taste of taufu...The taufu has been fried and then sprinkle on top of those minced meats and spring onions.

Vietnamese Filter Coffee With Sugar(RM6.50)- Coffee which had a filter on top of it. I saw it does not have any coffee beans . My bf say the coffee is not bad too. But must drink with the milk if not it is really bitter....haha...

Basil Passion Soda(RM6.50) - Indeed a "vegetable" soda. haha...I still cant able to know what kind of greeny thing inside. I can drink it have mint leaves. It is really a refreshing drink to try on...

Deutsches Gasthaus 3- Damansara Perdana

During the X'mas eve, me and bf has been having a buffet dinner at this restaurant with a group of friends. It is consider the 3rd branch so it is called "Deutsches Gasthaus 3". The dinner is cost about rm77++ per person. And during X'mas, we have a free goodies bag. Erm, Im not much eating that time coz to be honest, all the meals there is fully meats. But still have some types of vege. haha....But they are famous for their sausages. I ate a lot. Maybe next time, i might drop by there to have a light meals.. I heard the meals there is not cheap too...haha...Maybe wait my salary out 1st..

For the enviroment there is actually not bad. I think is a good place to have a beer. Im sure u all would know that they are famous for their beer. The name is Hoegaarden. During the time we are there, if not mistaken, is a "supervisor" of the restaurant, asking us if we dare to challenge their beer. Whereby in 10min, if we able to drink a "tong" full of beers, then they will free us. Erm, the "tong"..how to describe, is a big bucket and roughly is about 3 jugs of those normal beer you found outside. Scary le?? haha..but believe it, he say, there are really 1 who did manage to drink it within 5min.

Erm, should be a good place for a beer. Anyone interest to join me one day??lol...

Dimple Dessert House

During the last weekend, before we have our movie " Ip Man", me and my bf had drop by to this dessert house which i think newly open at Taman Segar. Actually, i think their location is not so easy to be noticed by public...unless whoever who walked pass there or going to pub nearby.

Actually, we had our dinner and we are just looking for some snack to eat. So we have order the "Bubur Cha Cha" and also the "Tong Yun" With Ginger Sweet Soup. We also did order a plate of "Lo Bak" Kuih.

To be honest, it is kinda disappointed me. The bubur cha cha is really not nice. All the ingrediant has been boiled too soft. If not mistaken, i guess they have boiled it few times already for the same bubur cha cha....Which means, i think is not so fresh lio.

For the "tong yun", i think still acceptable just like the outside. Nothing much special whereby it consists of 6 "tong yun" which stuffed which 6 different ingrediants such as red bean, sesame seed, peanuts, brown kaya, pandan kaya and "lau you- butter" . But i know Klang have 1 stall selling big big "tong yun" which i think would be more good to try it.

The only thing which most satisfy us is the "Lo Bak" Kuih...haha...so far is tasty and the sambal is nice too. Overall, i think i think i will not be going there for 2nd time...haha...

Bak Kut Teh @ Sea Park, PJ

Supposing I should be going to have the famous nasi lemak that time, but then suddenly saw the Bak Kut The….my bf so happy and want to eat it since is a rainy day and is cold. So, it should be good to have some rice with a hot Bak Kut Teh soup. Erm….lucky it did not disappointed me. The Bak Kut Teh is nice. The soup is not so oily and did not have too much herbal taste. To be honest, im very scare of those herbal smell..

The stall is actually located beside a shoplot next to the Maybank. Erm, I think is actually easy to find it too. Sometimes, I saw many ppl going there to eat the Bak Kut Teh. Each of us has order a pot. When the pot is served, we could see the hot soup and it just make us feel warm and wanna drink the whole pot of soup. We have give a bowl of rice and we have order “Yau Cha Kwai”…nice to eat when dipping into the hot soup. I love this…
In the pot, there are mixed of meats, “tau fu pok”, few slices of green veggies and mushroom. The portion they are given also not small so I felt it is worth the price. Should try if you are staying nearby there… it is not halal 1…..lol…

Restaurant 3U @ Taman Tayton

This restaurant has been open quite long. I have saw many of those food stalls being open around the shop lots but they did not last long. Wonder why ? I think the main problems are hard to find a parking place. Erm, I think their speciality thing they did have is the beef noodle and also the prawn mee.

That time, we supposing to eat pan mee for breakfast, but due to the shop is overload with customers, we finally decide to eat at here. Erm, after looking through, we decide to eat something spicy since the weather is kinda cold due to rain. We have order a Curry Mee and also a Chicken & Fishball Mee with Prawn Soup.

Curry Mee – The curry is nice and taste good with lots of santan if not mistaken. On top with long beans, “tau fu pok” and also the fresh and raw clams.. Erm, might be too early to eat “sashimi clam” and my bf stomach not well after back home.

Chicken & Fishball Mee – Actually there are 3 types of soup you can chooce to taste this meal. I have chosen the Prawn Soup as I really so long haven’t taste it before. Erm, the soup is nice and you can feel the sweetness of the prawn to make the soup and it is not so spicy. If you like it spicy, you can put some of their sambal chilies. That’s chilies really nice.

Fried wanton – as a side dishes only….

As for drinks, I have ordered myself a Honey Lemon Ice as I heard honey and lemon is good for throat. While as usual, my bf ordered a ice coffee . Might be not enough rest last night…

Mill Wheel @ Kepong

Eventhough is rainy seasons this few week, but after begging my bf, I indeed wan to go to try the “Pao Bing” in Kepong…haha…this is my 1st time being there after heard of many good comment from website and my friends.
By the time we reached there during that weekend, there are not much people as it is raining outside. Im sure not much ppl will eat ice during a so cold moments. Haha..not me..i wan try…once I get into the café, is indeed cold but is nice.

The café is decorated so nicely with many cute souvenirs and also some festive card (eg: Xmas card, Congrats card, etc). I wish I could own a shop like this too. Visitors can drop by to see or to buy some souvenirs and at the same time, can taste a cold and yummy “Poa Bing”..

There are many choices and making me wanted to order all the ”Poa Bing” and taste it. Haha…greedy le..There are Series 20,30,40 ; Tank Series ; Snow Series….and most important there are many flavours which you can taste such as Chocolates, Lychee, Watermelon, Mango, Milk Tea, Strawberry and lots more…. …But my bf started to get cold, for sure he wont eat much. So finally we decide to order Series 20 - Watermelon & lychee flavours.

Hey, is is not small portion. I think enough for 2 persons to have it. It is serve in a small “wok” where most of them is the Watermelon “Pao Bing” and middle is the Lychee “Poa Bing”. On top of it will be sprinkle of chocolate chips, colorful chips, corn flakes, some jellies and 2 long wafer biscuits.
Erm, the “Pao Ping” don’t see to melt from outside. But once u eaten, it just melt inside ur mouth…funny but I love it…Good to eat during hot weathers…It sure cold ur heart ….

Then for some snacks, we have decided to order the Tuna Sandwich. A snack which could temporarily warm us…After paying and out from the café, I start saying cold….haha…my bf no eyes see me…

Christmas 2008

Jingle bells...jingle bells...jingle all the ways to Malaysia....lol...

Mostly every year during the Christmas, there are many shopping malls will be having their own theme to decorate the mall with christmas tress, reindeers and lots of colorful lights. In Malaysia, there will be no winter time and there will be no snow to make snow man or snow balls....But dont worry, we still manage to get the feels in those shopping mall...

Erm, this few weekends, i have been dropping by to few large shopping malls to catch some nice decoration for Chritmas feels...hehe...Im also very like it most of them and it caught my attention. And im really amazed of their decoration. To be honest, im a Buddhist and my family dont really have such culture whereby we need to decorate a christmas tree or maybe exchange gift. During my past time, i did decorate for my previous company with some of my colleague. Wonder how are the office now?? Will it be nicer with new decoration? Maybe one day, i drop by and check it out...

I have went to Leisure Mall, Cheras whereby their theme is Jilly Poppin's Musical Christmas. First of all, there have a small stage whereby being decorate with some musical kids with their instruments. Nice try....

A musical kid hanging around...........

Lots of musical instrument being hanging as decoration...

Banners on each floor of the mall is being display to attract more ppls....

Coming then is at The Curve... Not sure the theme but they have a large "man-made" park whereby surrounded by few christmas tree which decorated with colorful lights..

All along the mall, u see all the colorful lights....

Once u walk into the "park"....u saw many elf if not mistaken.....posing with those trees which look like the animal. I saw giraffe which just situated at the main door with a long leg which acts as a door welcoming the visitors.

An Elf trying to play with an elephant....

Erm, met with a "tall" angel...sneaking around to find target to talk and u can take photo with them. They indeed very friendly....and cute too...
The day, i did proceed to the Ikano....i saw a simple but also nice white christmas... situated in the middle of the ground floor. There is a big snow man...with some reindeers and a white & blue christmas tree...while the floors is full of white fake "snow"...You make take photos at there and you may shop for some sourvenirs at the Santa's Bazaar....just outside the maindoor.

Im sure u all will be asking about Damasara Cineleisure there..hehe...no worry..i also did manage to have some time to take a look there...As usual, we did saw some night stalls which selling sourvenirs in between The Curve and Cineleisure. All the stalls have some new decoration. Guess what? Each stall have been given a small tree with some colorful lantern light to decorate their stalls and to display all their Christmas sourveniers and other gifts which can be buy as a gifts.

In front the Cathay Cineleisure, there usual fountain has been covered with a large stage with 3 angels ...and a large christmas tress and golden and reddish decoration balls....That time still early. Im sure if during night time, it sure will be more beautiful....

Not to forget, I have went to 1Utama for some shopping. And i get to see their stage. There are lots of white christmas trees shining ....and i wonder about their theme. I saw down the stage, the floors with big big poker cards...and not to say...all the trees is decorated with those poker cards too....

In the 2nd floor, you will see a big magnetic clock....and trees...full of colorfull balls.....Erm, "The Clock & The White Rabbit"....where's the white rabbit har?? Suddenly im thinking their their theme is like the story of "Alice in Wonderland"...wonder i guess it right or not!!

Some costume ladies dancing on the stage ...
