Homemade Spaghetti

Yes, last weekend suppose to be a busy day....need to do house cleaning ....Then, with some little time in the morning, I need to make some breakfast which is spaghetti for my bf and my bro (both is always my white mouse for my home-cooked food)...haha....Anyway, I just taken the final result of the dish....as I was busy cooking it and lazy to take photo step by step...

Erm, slightly heavy meal in the morning but once a while should be fine..haha...The ingrediant includes

a. Spaghetti & Itallian tomato sauce
b. 3 hotdog(mushroom flavour) - cut into small slice....
c. Chicken Breast + 1 fresh tomato -chopped till super small pieces
d. Fried beaten eggs
e. Spoonful of tomato ketchup
f. slice of Cheedar Cheese
g. salt + pepper (for added flavours)

- I have taken about 10min to wait the spaghetti to be cooked and drain the water...

- Fried the beaten eggs and put aside...

-Started to make the sauce...Put some chopped onion to cook the chicken breast and the sliced hotdog to make it more flavouring....

- Pour 1/2 bottle of the Itallian tomato sauce....together with the cooked chicken and hotdog with the chopped tomato....stirred it a while, added spoonful tomato ketchup + salt and pepper to add flavours...added some water so the pasta wont be too thick or too sticky...

- put the spaghetti onto a plate and pour some of the cooked sauce above...sprinkle the fried beaten eggs..

- Lastly added a slice of cheedar cheese ( whole piece / cut into small piece ) on top the dish and put into oven for about 1 min or wait till the cheese melted and turn golden color...and served it while hot...

Overall the dish is still ok....My bro at least finish it all...He quite choosy in eating...and he request to have more cheese in future...he really not scare of fat!! lol..

Here another of my homemade cooking....Hope you all enjoy it...

Restaurant Dim Sum . Yum Cha

Last Friday was a public holiday. And due to my bf was working, so I dated my family member for breakfast. It is still early and my bro was in a good mood to wake up early since I told him that Im going to treat them for dim sum...

How we get to know this place? Is actually from those advertisement booklet which sent to each of our house. We saw the place looks new and decided to have a try. So, my bro is the "GPS" that day and driving to us to the place. The place is consider a new area whereby there are still many shoplots which is vacant.

The restaurant is slightly situated inside a serviced apartment. We make few u-turn then only able to find a banner which guide us to the restaurant. Fyi, there is a fee (RM3) to park inside the shoplots there...but the restaurant stated, if we are their customer and we show our car park ticket to them, we could redeem for 2 pcs of egg tart for free (make sure redeem it!!)...which quite equivalent to their ticket price...better than nothing, right?

Check the photos below:

The main entrance - nice and elegant

Interior - clean and newly decorated...the place looks spacious and nice

tea making area - the tea are self -service...each tea leaf is put on a big jar where customers pour the tea leaf on the pot and add in the hot water...

Few types of tea leaf available.....Fyi, my tea is FOC here...maybe is restaurant new opening, so the tea is free...

the antique tea cup..very nice ..

Siew Long Bao (RM6.50)

Glutinous Rice Chicken ( RM4)

Prawn Chee Cheung Fun (RM5)

Chicken Feet (RM4)

Char Siew Bao (RM3.60)

Nice food rite?? Feeling like you wanna go after this?? lol...

Ok....main point here..haha...just wanna share with you of my dining experiences there...super disappointed...I guess maybe is due to their way of taking orders. Suppose normal dim sum restaurant, there would be a trolley where all dim sum is drive along each table so customers can select the dim sum they want. No mess and for sure wont forget any orders...

But for this, their waitress will present the menu and they will take orders. Then the orders will pass to the food serving counter where all the food will served based on the list ...and the bad thing came into our table. The waitress forget to pass the orders or how and then our order is left on the food serving counter and weird thing like no people noticed it.We waited for our orders(1st round -6 plates of dim sum) for about 1/2 hours...after that, suddenly all the dim sum is served. Anyway, we are very hungry that time and dont want to think / ask more... To be honest, the food there is fresh and all the prawn given is big too.

Then suddenly we heard customers shouting for ordering or how...I can see, that time, the place is start to fill with customers and waiting for ordering...Then some waitress is waiting at the food serving counter waiting for the food to finish steamed / cooked etc.....This is the time where everything start to get mess...Maybe the restaurant is still newly open and those staff is not so familiar with working style, and the kitchen unable to cope with too much orders...so they will be some delay etc...

Then after our 1st round, we called for menu to make 2nd order....we ordered 5 plates. and waited .....this time, worst....once again forget our orders....My face totally turn bad....and keep looking at the food serving counter...once again, we waited for 1/2 hours....then only they realized our order and slowly served our table....and the last dish served 15min after other dim sum...

The end, I totally dont have the mood for any more orders and once the last dim sum served, I directly told them, please get the bills now...I dont want to wait anymore...Yeah, I know their restaurant is just open not long but dont have to be that kind of lousy service. One thing also, many customers has a miscommunication on the car park fees too. Anyway, I spent 3 hours at there just to have those few dim sum....

Ok...my last comment....the food there is quite good actually...My bro who is so choosy also think the food there is not bad...But the service is just making you fed up only...Will I be going for 2nd time?? Maybe....but will try to reach there early and avoid peak hours so I can enjoy the foods there without forgetting my orders...But I worry if I bring my bf to there....he dislike waiting too long...haha...

That's all for here...if you ever been there, do share your experience with me....haha...

Hwangsil Garden

Last Sun, my bf and I had dated one of my friend to have a dinner to celebrate her belated birthday. Suppose I thought to bring her to have the Spanish buffet at La Gomera but due to they are currently having promotion and the restaurant is full house during that day.

Super disappointed and we are not familiar with the place there. We thought so hard where to eat...and suddenly we saw this Korean restaurant nearby...We are so hungry and we just say " Let's do it here"....haha...and all agreed...

The restaurant is located at 1st floor....We were welcomed by the friendly waiter and waitress and guide us to an empty table..

Table "accessories "- cup to fill in water, spoon and chopstick

Water bottle - for us to fill in our water ourself...if empty, you may call the waiter/waitress there to refill it...somehow, they only given cold water...

Food is served quite fast...saw our table full of those food...those small plates which is side dishes...which is refillable...and also some sauce to dip for the grilled BBQ meat...we are informed by the waitress that for BBQ meat, we need to have order 2 set. We are not allow to order just 1 set...so we had Daejui Galbi - marinated pork rib (RM28) and Samgyobsal (RM25) as grilling in above photos...yes...4 pcs for RM25..haha...lucky it is grilled nicely...

process of grilling - very professional and look juice...once done, it is wrapped with green leaf and dipped with special sauce..nice and yummy...

Dolsot Bibimbab (RM19) - rice served in a hot stone bowl on top with some seasoned vegetables, fried egg, and everything mixed together with a special sauce (red color)....

Haemul Pajeon (RM25) - is so called korean seafood pancake...i used to order kimchi pancake in other Korean restaurant but I found it too spicy and this time I ordered this and Im quite like it..Maybe it is slightly oily...and the dish look simple...but it taste good when it dip into a sesame sauce...

FOC item : not sure what this meat called...taste quite ok...sliced thinly and deep with the special chilies sauce..

FOC item : steamed egg in a hot bowl...quite nice but sad the side had slightly burned...causing unpleasant smell...

We were giving each slice of juicy watermelon and also to choose either to have a cup of Coffee or Cinnamon Tea ....it is served as cold drink and my friend is not well to have it...so i drink both...haha...i felt the Cinnamon Tea taste is quite hard to accept for certain people..so in order to cover the taste...i drink both coffee and tea at the same time..haha..so guess what, it taste not bad too...

Overall the food taste is still acceptable but is with limited choice....some dish is just suit to be order by big group of people because the portion is quite big and not to say price looks expensive too...We are just 3 persons so we have a limited choice due to we scare we cant finish all the dishes..haha..

Little Jims Cafe

An early morning thinking to have some dim sum but it was fully packed. No choice and saw this cafe...not much customer and we just walked in to have our quick breakfast...very lazy to walk further and looking for other foods...

The main entrance

Little Jims Special (RM3.80) - is actually something like the 3-layered tea...bottom is the brown sugar, middle - milk and top is tea....nice and refreshing...

My bf ordered a Plain Rice (RM1.50) to have it together with Curry Chicken (RM6.20). The curry gravy is nice and not too spicy with quite a good portion of chicken meat and potatoes...

Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken (RM7.50) - quite disappointed with the fried chicken. The meat is so dry and hard to chew....and tasteless...I should just ordering a plain nasi lemak which I guess should be cheaper..

Lastly, we have Steamed Bread -Kaya + Butter (RM2)....it is still hot when serving...so the bread is just so soft with the fragrant of kaya and butter...

Guess, the food there is just normal....and nothing much special....dont think I would be there for 2nd time...due to bad experiences with the fried chicken...

Xin Chun Seafood Steamboat Restaurant

Suppose to date my old friend and treating her for the belated birthday... but she is not free...and ended up with me and my bf going for steamboat. The time is quite late, almost 8pm....and weather is like little bit cold and it just suit for some hot hot soup to warm ourselves.

And we passed by this restaurant and that time the place is packed with lots of customers. We parked our car and trying to search for a table. Lucky there is an empty table and we begin to make our orders. Their service is consider quite fast. All the food is served very soon after we ordered it.

Their own chilies sauce....quite spicy ..

the soup - original & tom yam (both soup is nice but i felt the tomyam is more to the spicy side)

We ordered the set for 2 person (RM 13.50 per person) ...the portion is still ok and quite fresh

Side Dish - Fish ball (RM5)...this is nice!

Side dish - Green vegetable (RM6) ; noodles + egg (included in the set above)

Besides all the above, there are other side dishes you may ordered and for ordering fresh seafood like crabs / prawn, the price is depending...so make sure you check the price before ordering...

p/s: one thing, my bf and I got stomachache in the middle night....steamboat is our last meal for that day...should not be the food there because we saw the food is quite fresh except maybe the vegetable is not clean well or is it the tom yam soup and the chilies sauce...might be too spicy till our stomach not so well...anyone have encounter this before??

SnowFlake - Coco Loco

Last weekend, my bf and I have quite a long shopping day..We bought quite a lot of things...He able to buy his new toy, mini helicopter again!! And before that, he brought me to have a nice dessert 1st (to cool my mood so he can buy the toy happily, lol)....And since we are around Times Square KL, so we decided to go to Snowflake . To be honest, I rarely went to Pavillion unless there is something which really attracts me...and yes, the dessert at Snowflake...hehe..

So, as usual I had ordered their best seller and happen that I saw a banner they have new item....so I dont want to miss it ...haha..so I ordered another bowl of the new item, Coco Loco...

Coco Loco (RM6.00) - topped above is taro balls, grass jelly, the "transparent noodle" ...is like nato de coco...chewy but also slightly tasteless..but with some gula melaka being pour on this dessert...it just light up the taste whereby the below is the ice with soya bean flavour...

Anyway, if you asked me, I still in love with their Snowflake best seller (cold)....And guess what, I finished almost 70% of the 2 bowl of dessert because my bf just feel too cold for this...I guess next time, I would order some hot dessert from there for him...

Heard they have a new branch at Kota Damansara. I would love to try it one day ..so take note all the dessert lovers outside who wish to try Snowflake Dessert...lol...
