Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant

Guess what i had for my last meal in Year 2009? Yes...yes..is steamboat..haha..a fresh and nice steamboat. Suppose i did not plan to go anywhere for countdown and even for a meal. But i received a call from my bf that he will come to fetch me to PJ to join some of his friends gathering meal. How lucky I am...But sad to say it, i dont eat much....because i suspect i ate something not clean in the noon and causing my tummy not well that night. But i will give give face and have a try on this lovely invitation steamboat.

To be honest, i dont really talk much during the gathering....Bet my friends would say dont sounds like my style. I used to be super "kepo". What to do...Most of my bf's friend is Mandarin speaking and my mandarin just so so..Quite slow in talking but i will still smile as i understand what they are talking...haah...anyway, i still enjoy it..

Ok..let's get back to the topic...The restaurant is quite hidden in a housing area...and even my bf also not so familiar with the place and keep wondering, is there really such restaurant inside. Indeed it is available and quite packed when we reached there around 8pm. Inside the restaurant is like a large and spacious with few wooden hut(good for big group gathering) and also some big umbrella seating place... just like the feel like you are out of town .

Around the eating places, there are cages of animals like chicken, duck, live seafood in the aquarium and even turtles..haha...

a snapshot of their toilet...haha...saw the empty pond with a sleeping turtle?? haha..

There are few set of menu we could choose from, either you prefer for a normal standard steamboat or with live seafood as add on items...and we have asked one of the staff there to recommend us.

Below is some of the menu on that day.

Their chili sauce
normally we found such items in original steamboat...fish ball, vegetables, beancurd skins etc...

Giant Clams - all is nicely clean up and taste good...

Abalone Slices...haha...lucky each still have a piece of it..

Mussels - big and juicy...and not to saw, it is nicely clean up so we felt it is safe and hygiene to consume it...

Our big pot...with their special herbal soup -Village Drunken Pot..the soup is a must to try...not oily, added with lots of herbal such as the "kei chi" and chinese wine..which quite suit to make a nice seafood steamboat...

Pot which already put in Flower Crabs, fresh and live Tiger Prawns and Red Snapper Fish...Sorry that i dont have the full meal photo as i was quite busy looking at those guys putting the seafood...(i got help help little so i cant hold the camera to take picture for you all)....And one very surprise thing, the prawn given to us is still alive. They put the prawn in a plate fully covered when served and all of us keep thinking how to put into the hot boiling pot and avoid the prawn from jumping out.......when we put into the pot, it is still "jumping"..so funny...thats the shot which i think i hav missed it...too bad!! And the fish is nicely cut in piece but maintain as a whole body(with the head and tail in) and we just put into the boiling soup.

Steamed Chicken - never know that they can served such a smooth and tender steamed chicken..I think is one of their signature dishes too..

Prawn which has been cooked and ready to eat. Quite big too the prawn..hehe...

For extra, you may order satay from there. We just sat nearby the satay stall..haha..

Staff pouring beer into the tower...

We have ordered a tower of beers(3 large Carlsberg being load into the tower)....the middle of the tower is the ice cubes to maintain the beers stay cold..

We found all the seafood served is quite fresh....We are quite statisfy with the meals. Total bill is around RM360 for 9 persons...(RM40 per person)...Im sure is a nice place for friend gathering and having fresh seafood....Anyone wanna join me?? I have let YC knew about this place. Hope to go there again. She just want to have seafood only...haha...Good news for all seafood lovers..
