Restaurant Ban Joo Hing

During our trip to Tanjung Sepat, we are unable to taste their famous Seafood Bak Kut Teh....so the end, we ended up with seafood meal. As far we know, the place is located nearby sea/ river so their seafood must be very fresh and it really didnt disappointed us too...hehe...

Actually we are little full after we ate some pau nearby the town...but we yet we did not wish to missed out our seafood meal at there..There are few seafood restaurant nearby the Lovers Bridge in Tanjung Sepat. But due to some restaurant is having some function and not open for business, we decide to choose Restaurant Ban Joo Hing to try it. From that place, you could noticed some aunties taking bicyle to sell their local foods such as fish balls, "keropok", dried shrimps...etc...

Lets see our orders. Please make sure when you want to order any seafoods, just ask for prices 1st . If not, later need you might pay for something you are not expected to pay...hehe..

Steamed Crabs(RM36) - At 1st, i got little bit worry when ordering steamed seafood as i scare of those "fishy smell" whereby means the seafood is not fresh. But due to majority decision, i decided to give it a try..Lucky is taste good. To be honest, the crabs is really fresh. The dish is very simple whereby it is steamed for about 20min(i think) with some wine and gingers. The crab are selling at RM36 per kg.

Clams (RM16) - This should be a "Kam heung La La". Its actually came out to be in a large portion. We thought the staff there made a mistake but then when we ate it, we begin to know that it is actually not much clam meat inside..haha..mostly all is empty shell only..The taste is just so so. Maybe not spicy enough.

Vegetable "Yau Mak" (RM8) - It is indeed a simple stir-fry vegetable we can have there....Nothing special...

Claypot Taufu (RM14) - When you taste this, it is actually something like what you are having the shark fin but this have taufu with the crab meat. It actually quite ok but must consumed it while it is still hot. If they could put more seafood such as prawn, crab sticks etc...I think i would love this dish more..hehe...

The total bills for the above meal is RM82 ( Rice RM1 per plate + Chinese Tea RM6)
