Last weekend, i just went shopping with my bf at 1Utama around noon. The place is already crowded. We have bought a lot of things including clothing for coming CNY and some hampers too. I passed by Jusco and thought to to meet a friend who is working there but somehow i failed. The place is quite crowded. Sorry, El, quite rush that time and already headache when see so many people buying things...haha...will meet you another time.

Anyway, is almost 5pm and yet we havent taken any lunch. So, we just have our early dinner. We didnt go far and just proceed to have our meal at this Old Asia Cafe. That time, the place is not much customers and all the food served is quite fast too...

And then we checked a leaflet that they having some kind of set meal which i think quite affordable. I called the waitress to see whether the meal set is available for weekends. You all should know, some promotional thing sure not available during weekends or public holidays. Anyway, the waitress said is available for anytime. hehe...

I have ordered the "Sang Har Mee" set aka Big Prawn Noodle...but is truly just 2 big prawn as main ingrediants with some other vegetables...no other meat etc. haha....it would be nice if add in some chicken meat...since i think the place is halal...Taste is quite good.

The above set is come with a drink and a dessert...not either one but is both...so my bf did not order any drink too...So, we have the Ice Lemon Tea together.

the dessert- Sweet Potato with ginger soup. Hot and nice.

As for my bf, he had ordered a Seafood Tom Yam Soup with rice. The soup is quite sour but not spicy enough for my bf. My bf super love spicy. Somehow, this soup doesnt seem to have much seafood inside. Most is those tomatoes or onions only..haha...

Overall, the taste wise is quite ok but hope they could improve the foods by adding more variety of ingrediants....hehe...

Cendol Jelly

Erm...some snapshot of my homemade cendol jelly that is quite success but it is not sweet enough...Anyway,at least the layer (cendol + brown sugar) is stick together than it fall apart. Why i say this time is sucess? Because in the previous, the cendol jelly i done always did not stick together between layer. haha...Im quite happy with it. Will try again soon too...

Lunch at Hotel Mirama

Everyone would always think what would they want to have during lunch time...So do me...But since i work at Jalan Maharajalela, those budgeted eating place is getting lesser compare with my previous office in Cheras. In here, mostly either lunch in hotel, mamak , some chinese hawker stall and the Purple Cane restaurant. And worst, all is located quite far and we need to walk about 10-15min to reach the eating place. Even those nearby hawker stall would be setting the price high for just a normal meal...So, there are not much choice for my lunch and sometimes i would rather skip my lunch or bring my own lunch.

Once a while, or during any special event, me and my colleague will be going for lunch in hotel. And our favourite place would be a cafe located inside Mirama Hotel. The cafe look slightly old but quite comfortable with a good air conditioning...haha...quite cold sometimes. Why we love there?? Is actually because is the lunch menu which the price is still acceptable for us. Maybe once a while to lunch there is good too...

Each week/ month, i guess....they will have a set lunch menu for their customers. The set lunch consists of 1 starter(soup of the day: chicken soup/ mushroom soup, etc), 1 main course (chicken chop/ fish & chip/Fried rice/ Chicken rice/ Spagetti, depending on the menu set) and not to forget 1 dessert of the day(ice cream/coffee/tea, etc). And guess how much the price ?? All is just RM10 nett...haha...

Hereby what I have for my lunch at Mirama...sorry that i forget to take pic of my soup. Is just a Chicken soup for that day...hehe..

Main Course - Grilled Chicken Chop. The portion is quite big and taste is normal but acceptable...

Dessert of the day - a scoop of strawberry ice cream + some whipped cream...yummy for the hot day....

I think the price is quite acceptable. If you ever pass by the place during noon and unsure of what to eat, maybe you may drop by there to have their lunch set there. The cafe is juz located beside the lobby counter.

What you will think when you reach Raub?? Erm...the 1st thing in my mind is buying groundnuts..haha...At 1st i dont know about this. Is my bf who intro me. Erm....Everytime when we on the way back to KL from Kuala Lipis, i would pass by to this shop aka groundnuts factory...hehe...

Since , CNY is coming, i have went there to get myself few pack of groundnuts. There are few types of "flavours" which you can choose...

"Yee Sang"....my favourite dish during CNY

hehe...my early "lou sang".....

I have it at Purple Cane Restaurant last week with Wang, Grace and XinYi. Since is our vegetarian day with Grace, we ask for a vegetarian "yee sang"...We quite over-joy that such early time, they start serving those "yee sang" and the staff there say they can make it vegetarian style.....but to our disappointment, there dont have "vegetarian fish meat" to replace the real fish meat...aikks..then it is not call "lou sang" lio...look like normal chinese sweet salad to us...and worst, we are paying the same amount of money for a normal "yee sang"....hahaa..i thought it would be slighty cheaper...

Anyway...the day is still wonderful as 4 of us can get together again just like last time...Happy all the time to "bro & sis"....

Normal price for "yee sang" is RM38 (1/2 serving) ; RM48 (1 serving)....they also have some CNY dinner set promotion. You may check into their website for reservation etc....
